Day 43: Sick as a Dog!

Day 43: Triceps, Shoulders, and Back

This morning I was feeling a little tired at work. I thought that this might be due to the daylight savings change. We moved an hour forward Sunday morning. By lunch, I had a fever kicking and major head congestion. Yuck! My boss was out of the office, so cutting out early wasn’t an option. I stuck it out and made it home to pass out on the sofa.

I woke up an hour later, made a healthy dinner, and got ready to Triceps, Shoulders, and Back. I put in the DVD and pressed play! After the sixth set (Side Tri-Rises), I was done for. I couldn’t concentrate and my form was horrible. It was time to throw in the towel.

So here is the plan:

1. Get some rest tonight and hope that my fever goes away.
2. Call off of work tomorrow for some rest and recovery (I hate to do this, but I don’t want to wear myself down even further.)
3. Finish Triceps, Shoulders, and Back late-morning.
4. Knock out Plyo in the evening.

I am hoping that between sleep and major sweating for the double session, I can knock this fever out and get back on track. I really don’t have the time or patience to be sick right now. So much to do! I will make sure to post day 43 pictures after my workout in the morning.

Tip of the day: Don’t be the tough guy/girl. If you aren’t in good enough shape to keep the right form, wait until you are feeling better and make it up. It is not worth the injury or delay in recovery.

  1. Hope you feel better! I just finished Shoulders, Back and Tri this morning and still struggling with the push ups.
