Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse JV again overcame a slow start — this time to defeat Laguna Hills team, 9-7, at Trabuco Hills Stadium.
The visiting Hawks scored the game’s first three goals. Then the Mustangs got busy. Goals from Kelsey Tapia, Becca Haggard, Jenelle Phillips and Caroline Rabourn — and two from Marina Sandoval — gave Trabuco a 6-5 halftime lead.
Sandoval kept the hot hand. She scored all three second half goals for Trabuco — including the game’s final two that broke a 7-7 tie.
