Hi cardmakers and friends! Here we are on Day Six of this 2019 Snowflake Card Series! Typing 2019 and thinking it’s November makes me say to myself, I am not ready for 2020! I’m not ready for Christmas either! lol
I’m sharing two cards today…both CAS but a little bit technique-y! ‘Collage’ and Inlaid die cutting anyway!
This first one is with the Starlight Snowflake Collage die… I think I overlooked it when it came out! :O I don’t remember using it but I forgot to search here, to see if it came up.
I saw a card on IG that I loved but I didn’t have a die that would do the cuts so it looked right. While looking through dies, I found this one and tried it and fell in love with it’s pure CAS-ness. Once again that pop of white!
Silent Night is from the Typewriter Holiday Sentiments clear stamp set. I heat embossed it in white on the label that falls out of the new Antique Label die sets.
My next ‘blue’ card, I hope you can see.. the inlaid Bauble Snowflake Corner die and the inlaid Bauble Snowflake down in the right bottom corner. I think it will show for sure in the video tomorrow.
I die cut five of the Bauble Snowflake from the Bauble Snowflake Frame die set, glued them together and stuck a little silver brad in the center. Oh yay! One more brad used out of the million or so! haha Then I glued that in the center of the inlaid Bauble Snowflake Corner die.
Before you think, NO WAY, I’m here to tell you, inlaying this was very simple! Just be sure you have a pick up tool!
Maybe you can see better in this close up.
The sentiment is from the Mistletoe Swag clear stamp set.
I did some spattering with white Gouache and a little white ink blended around to give the look of some snow flurries!
All this snowflake posting has made it cold here in Iowa! I know, I’m rolling my eyes too. 😀
I’ll finish up and take myself off to bed!
Thank you so much for joining me here for Day Six! I’ll see you again tomorrow…a festive card and the promised video! (nothing fancy)

Very striking cards!!! So beautiful!! I think the first one is my favorite even though inlay is a technique close to my heart…maybe it’s because I love puzzles. Had to laugh out loud at your brad comment. LOL
Looking forward to your video tomorrow.
Love these snowflake cards especially the first one which cuts into the paper not out. But both are pretty.
Simply beautiful! My fave is the first one. Such a simple design, but man, oh man, it packs a huge statement! Great cards, Pam, and I’m eager for your video! Is it tomorrow yet??? Have a good day!
Pam, that first card really affected me! It is so beautiful, yet it really packs a punch. I love it. The dark blue and white is a perfect combination. I, too, am excited to see the video. Have any card made with just brads? I think I must have a thousand!! Love what you do.
I love snowflake cards!!! I really loved the color you used too. First one is my favorite-but I may have to try the 2nd one too!!!
These are so pretty! Love the delicate snowflake dies!
I too love snowflakes too and these cards are beautiful.
I read your line about the brad and thought, IKR?!? LOL I get so excited to use an older product, even if it is just 1 of 100’s!!! Both cards are beautiful but the 1st one is absolutely stunning in its simplicity!!! I need to look at my snowflake dies to see if I already own something similar enough to recreate this and retain its elegance!
These are just magical Pam!! I never think to use navy card stock, but it is so striking with the white and the cutouts! Beautiful work!!
These are glorious – never looked at that collage snowflake die twice but…this card…oh Pam this is brilliant!!!
Oh, my gosh!!!! The white inlay with the multi-layered snowflake on top – wowowowowowowowow! I do also love the blue CASness of your first card. Yup, need me some new snowflakes!
Again, another beautiful snowflake against your dark backdrop — love your splatters that add so much too!
Oh these are both so pretty! I love the dark blue with the white! Gorgeous cards!
Beautiful cards! So fun to see them in person Friday!!
