I’m in my usual befuddled state again this am.
Here’s why: our Joe now says it’ll take 18 months to get stimulus money actually out into the economy. If you’re unemployed that’s a very long time. (does it really take 18 months to put a shovel in the ground?) And he also opined they “guessed wrong” about the stimulus money impact.
Hmmmm.
These same people that guessed wrong and need 18 months to put a shovel in the ground now want to run our health care system?
I don’t need their doctor guessing wrong or me having to wait 18 months for treatment.
Indeed health care is a problem in the U S.
If you don’t have it, you have a problem.
If you do and have to rely on your employer, you have a problem.
If you have to pay for it, you don’t get value for your dollar.
There is a need to transform the system but the government overreach is not the solution.
Medicaid pays about 76% of costs, Medicare has low admin costs but has $60 billion a year in fraud out of about $455 billion.

I remember about 4 years into the Iraq war, before the surge, many defeatists were stating that we had won WWII in less time than we had already been in Iraq. I believe that then-Senator Biden was one of those voices.
Now these same people can’t get a shovel into the ground in 18 months in our own country? In WWII, I think we were invading Italy in less time. Come to think of it, even Mussolini got the trains to run on time.
Geez . . for folks who did not even want stimulus to happen you sure are impatient. Speaking of trains Charlie, did you see where Amtrak workers in Delaware got the stim money already?
If you want WWII results, try WWII taxes.
