Follow Your Desires

Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

When we abandon our self-will and desire God to govern all that we are, He takes over and transitions us into an eternal creation filled and governed by Him. This magnificant new life is one of rest as God does all things in and through us. It is full of power because God is orchestrating and performing all things for us. Psalm 57:2 When He takes over His desires become our desires, thus we live by following our desires. Here I talk in more detail about this blessed gift and life.

Contemplating the oneness of Truth while guided by the Voice of Truth produces the evolution or maturation of the soul, spirit and mind, so reality can begin to reflect Truth's immutable, divine attributes, which manifest the highest good for all. This blog reflects an ever-deepening understanding of the Truth a soul gains as its mind is renewed by Truth's pure Light.

  1. Rachel, this message just
led me to ‘power of prayer,
a lesson from my cat’, An internet
friend had been sick for a month,
    and after prayer yesterday,
    was instantly healed.
    In this circumstance,
I was seeking the secret why, and
the Lord led me to ‘lesson from my cat’
    where you said,
It’s critical that we believe God
loves us because it affects our prayers.
    Three answers at once.
    Thanks.

    • Hi Glenn – like when God’s word is not mixed with faith it doesn’t avail much … same with prayer. Though God’s mercies are extensive. Hebrews 4:2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

  2. Another great post, Rachel. When we are blinded by sin, or immature in our faith, we tend to be suspicious of God’s motives and afraid of what He might say or do. But if we begin to truly seek Him, eventually He will reveal Himself to us as He actually is: holy, good, loving, powerful, wise and merciful. And we begin to realise that, as it says in Romans 12:2, His will is good, pleasing and perfect. Then, we will find ourselves longing to do His will, and longing for Him to mold us and guide us as He sees fit. It’s a completely different way of living, full of joy!

    • Hi Adam, that’s it .. His goodness leads to repentance, true repentance. As you know God, you learn of His love and you come to a place of wanting to forsake all of your self-will and embrace His will.

  3. I look so forward to your posts. You are such an inspiration and a true messenger of our Father. Thank you so much. Christian love…xxx
