I have been visiting Westmoor Park, located in West Hartford, CT, since my son started walking and I always look forward to seeing what is new each time. On our recent visit I was so excited to show him freshly laid eggs in the chicken coop, the vegetable garden growing broccoli and cabbage and the newly born cow named Bear. Here is our photo story from the past year of exploring this great local park.
The park also features a baby llama, horses, pigs, rabbits, ducks, turkeys and the list could go on. Another favorite feature is the wide open land for my son to run around and explore. The park sits on 162 acres of land and is home to a long list of educational farm and nature programs starting from pre-school to junior high. (list of programs link) During the summer and spring they host day camps for kids and also provide classes during the fall and winter ( Fall/Winter Classes )
