WWW Wednesday (20/01/21)

Hey hey, BookNerds – It’s WWW Wednesday again! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. I have read a lot this month so far, mainly because I know I am going back to uni next month and really wanted to make a dent in this years tbr before I’m drowned in work and assignments! This week has been filled with a mix of fantasy reads, so let’s see which one I have, am and will be reading!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I have been wanting to finish the Thorne Of Glass series since I started it in Decemeber, but had to wait for EoS to be available in the library! All three of the remaining books actually became available together so I am currently reading through the final books in this series!

The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien. I am also reading this alongside ToG, with some lovely members of The WriteReads Gang!

What did you recently finish reading?

I have gotten around to a lot of reads that have been sitting on my tbr. The Priory of The Orange Tree, by Samantha Shannon, Gideon The Ninth, by Tamsyn Muir, Six of Crows, by Leigh Bardugo, The Wicked King, by Holly Black, and The Queen Of Nothing, by Holly Black are all the titles Ihave read this past week!

Priory was a chunky read but it was definitely worth it, the world and characters are brilliant.

SoC as you know, I LOVED, and I plan to continue te duology asap. The characters really make this book shine, but the heist is so fun, dangerous and exciting!

Gideon was a fun read, with the Necromany being the strongest part of the book. But, I didn’t love this as much as my other reads, the prose was not my favourite.

TWK & QoN were both great, I love tricky and manipulative fae, and I can finally see why people ship Jude and Cardan! I did enjoy QoN more than the first two books, but TWK was better than TCP.

Full reviews for all to come!

What do you think you’ll read next?

My next physical read will be The Binding, by Bridget Collins, or Empire Of Sand, by Tasha Suri. Both have been on my tbr for a while now and I own physical copies of both so I am going to try and dive into them either this month or next!

However, my hold just came in from the library so I will also be reading a kindle edition of House Of Earth And Blood, by Sarah J Maas once I finish the ToG series!

I will also be picking up The Fellowship Of The Ring (LotR) soon, another book read with the lovely TWR gang – it has been far too long since I originally read this series so re-reading it will be a lot of fun!

So that was my reading week, how was yours? Let Me Know!

Happy Reading, BookNerds! 😊💜📚

  2. Well I currently have a rather large currently reading section but one of those current reads is The Lord of the Rings and I’m having such a good time re-reading it because it’s been a long time since I last read it!
