Good morning and welcome to another edition of Hunky Hump Day.
ICYMI, a nice video of hawt shirtless Army guys and a few Miami Dolphin cheerleaders. (Thanks, XBrad.)
Yeah, baby, bring me that coffee right NAO.
Nice six pack.
Carin can pretend this one is a redhead.
Another one chilling out by the water
And this one just because I liked his laugh.
Thank you for your attention, and y’all have a good day.

You have outdone yourself, Roamy. Really.
A lot of what I believed to be true isn’t quite so. I believed that the message and the messenger could be a marriage of convenience. Not so.
I thought that the media could be worked around. Nope.
I believed that the country was still essentially center right. Not really.
I’m trying very hard to examine what needs to change in order to get back to a basic conservative principles and I’m in agreement with many that the culture has been dragged too far to the left. I would describe the media as the biggest piece of the culture pie chart, and the MSM to be the biggest section of the media.
We can talk about making movies after the media is brought to heel.
Feel free to ignore all of this crap. In truth, I’m putting down thoughts for myself because I can type faster than I write, and I tend to remember things if I read them back. I didn’t think I cared, but I do.
Good morning, hunk humpers………………….
I blame the schools.
I think part of the problem is that the media saturation, combined with public school indoctrination has made the default switch for those not paying attention to be liberal. They don’t know anything, but they know they support gays, global warming, harmony, getting along, and “progressiveness” sounds like “progress” so they’re for that.
What to do?
Well, I think falling over the fiscal cliff could help.
We need to burn this mothafocker down.
At this point, I’m of a mind to believe that even the fiscal cliff will have no meaningful impact on progressive thinkers. Between media and education, the indoctrination is complete. They have been… assimilated.
Time to make the donuts. Have a good day, peeps.
What I fear it comes down to is that we may have to replicate the Long March strategy.
If the indoctrination is complete, and nothing will affect their views and votes, then we have nothing to lose.
I’m with you on the media, MJ. That’s what Breitbart was focused on, and what the Breitbart companies are doing now: focus on the media. It spreads out into pop culture too, but it starts in the media. That’s why Fox is being vilified. Not because they are far right, because they aren’t. They are just farther right than everybody else.
The Overton Window. Everyone’s perceptions have been shifted to the left. Say what you will about Glenn Beck, but he does a lot to bring these things to light. He needs to get better about crediting others, but he’s on the front lines.
Also, pay attention to Bill Whittle. He’s all about attacking the culture and framing the arguments, too.
You need to do posts on this at your place, MJ. Keep it in a place where you know where to look for it, and can update it from time to time. I’m trying to get my head around where to focus my energies, and this seems like a good place to start.
I watched the Whittle video this morning. He’s a smart guy.
I’ve been following Whittle for years, ever since he wrote Tribes.
Which way are the boats headed? That tells you everything you need to know.
http://www.ejectejecteject.com/archives/000129.html
In case a person exists that hasn’t read Tribes.
Really curious, how many hostage men have ever been in a fight?
Nothing you say will be held against you in a court of law.
And a fight could have happened when you were in grade school, high school or college. A physical fight.
I’m a long time fan of Bill Whittle and I really like Glenn Beck too. He does a lot of the work finding out what the flip is going on. He backs it up with people I respect, Vince Flynn, for one.
Jay do you have his book Silent America? It’s a collection of his essays.
MJ, I think you would really like it.
I have that book, mare. I should buy another copy, because the one I have is kinda beat up.
Yes, I have been in a fight(s). I have won, and I have lost.
I’ve been in plenty of fights. My older brother kicked my ass on practically a daily basis as kids, so I grew up fighting. I was in plenty of bar fights in the Navy, but those were the last times, and I was young and stupid.
Now, I’m a lover.
Heh, I’m the oldest, so I got to dish it out. That is, until my brothers got bigger.
When we got large enough to do serious damage to each other, that’s when the psychological warfare started.
My husband has, my brothers also.
is the first dood Levi Johnston, Palin impregnator? ew.
I think it’s normal for men to fight. What I think is abnormal is the pussification of men starting in kindergarten and the ridiculous policies of no running, no tag, no flag football, nothing fun and no rough housing to settle scores.
I’ve long been curious about how many men here have gotten into fights. I wonder if MJ has because he’s a generation behind us.
I have not been in a physical altercation since elementary school.
Heh Jay
As the oldest I remember picking on little bro until he took a swing at me. I was laughing so hard I could not defend myself so I hung on and rolled into the pool.
I did not pick on LB as much after that.
So far, 2 hostage men.
I don’t count the 3 years of aikido classes in college. There’s no sparring in the discipline. Too risky.
Elementary school counts, Leon.
I, too, got into scrapes in elementary school…always with boys. Stupid boys.
My brother was always bigger and stronger than I was. When we got to be teenagers though, I could always steal his girlfriends, and could run faster. That was important.
There are so many distractions now. Online communities, blogs, church groups, gaming forums, etc. You used to have to compete in person, face to face, with only what you have physically. There wasn’t anything to hide behind.
Now you can do/be whatever you want. Competition is down. The “everybody gets a trophy” crowd is the dominant one. Failure helps you grow, and that part is hidden from a lot now.
Is it a fight if someone hits you in the head with a tire iron, you pepper spray them, then pound on them a little? It is kind of not fair that I used pepper spray first.
>> Really curious, how many hostage men have ever been in a fight?
This week?
Last fist fight was about 15 years ago, that one was a draw. Theworst loss was gettin clocked in the head with a cue ball. Lights went completely out on that one, next thing I know my buddy was dragging me through the parking lot and I was bleedin all over him.
I really believe that women as teachers, and many kids without a father in the home, has made some kind of difference. And I don’t know what exactly, but either for ease or whatever, kids IN SCHOOL (not online, etc.) are too docile. Either because of all the meds, the indoctrination, or in lots of cases the pussyness, many just aren’t tough anymore.
Of course, those in the military would beg to differ and I agree with them.
Also, maybe combat video games are some kind of outlet. But I still believe a real punch thrown is different than shooting an M-4 in a video game.
Vman, you pounded on him, that counts, Dave is also in the fight category.
GOOD!
I can’t imagine my two neighbor boys in a fight. Both are sooooo lazy and kind of femmy. Their mom is a “theater arts” teacher and their Dad travels a lot. I have seen them throwing a baseball so there is that.
Now that I’m old and lazy, I would just shoot em.
Yeah, Dave, my husband just said, “I’m getting old,” and got on his foam roller. His back was bugging him, he would shoot too.
But don’t you think that good ol’ testosterone, when you’re young, is a good weapon for fighting?
Fights with boys in school, sibling fights through HS, mixing it up verbally and having tough guys want to fight: last time was 3 years ago. Kids these days get suspended for fighting whether they are the “attacker” or “attackee”. Zero tolerance.
This was tweeted by Dave Burge (Iowahawk), there are so many WTFs in this deal that it’s stupefying :
http://www.chapelhillnews.com/2012/11/26/73969/argentine-court-convicts-unc-ch.html
“Zero tolerance.”
Yes, Oso, exactly, that’s one of those “policies” I was talking about. I don’t think a fight is necessarily all that bad. Go case by case. I HATE zero tolerance policies in general.
I have a PVC pipe at home that I use in place of a foam roller. It’s about all I can do for hip rehab some days.
I have been in a fight, I think, but it ended very quickly. I hit a PJ Cole in science class freshman year because he kept calling me a fag, then tapped on my head with a pencil a few times.
I was pretty scared.
Do men in skinny jeans fight?
Then you’re in, MJ. Defending yourself counts. Crying to the teacher doesn’t. And being scared is a non issue (to me).
Mare, I think “Zero Tolerance” leads to the group think that Israel is supposed to just accept missiles being fired at them every day and never responding. The Palis aren’t going to do well in school anyway, so who cares if they get suspended. Pussification of America. Soon, we’ll be France.
Jon Hunstman is a worthless, dick:
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/11/27/Huntsman-defends-Susan-Rice
Oso, many, many times I’ve heard that the missiles from the palistinian’s are (paraphrased) “harmless.” WTF does that mean?
My best friend and I got into a fairly serious fight over a girl, but I don’t think any punches were thrown. I do remember that we both stopped when he looked at a hammer on the ground.
Mj, PJ Cole was just jealous of your skinny jeans.
They rarely hit anything. Since the Cease Fire, there have been a hundred missiles fired into Israel.
My last fight was in ’82. It was on the ship. I used to be a brawler. I was raised to never back down. I have the scars as a reminder.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think fighting is always the answer, but I do think sometimes it is the answer.
^^^^^^^There are things worth fighting for!
“They rarely hit anything.”
To me, that doesn’t matter.
It is harmless because
mmm
The left want to feel superior.
I have been saying this for years and it seems to be accelerating. The world view of the Left and the Right are so far apart there is no middle ground.
I was taught to take up for the underdog and never let anyone be bullied. Most of my grade school fights were in defense of the fat kid or the new kid.
Mare, it doesn’t matter to me either. The MFM and the academia have decided that Israel does not have the right to self defense.
Older brothers suck.
Is mare commenting too quickly?
I HATE zero tolerance policies in general.
In the old days, school administrators managed to maintain discipline without hiding behind zero tolerance policies. It was why they got paid more. Now we have administrators who have abdicated their management responsibilities to a flowchart, but we pay them even more.
I attribute part of the problem to the change in the way we train principals. In the old days you worked for 20 years as a teacher and then became a principal by virtue of your demonstrated organizational, leadership, and disciplinary skills. Now you work for a couple of years as a teacher, get a masters in educational administration, and off you go.
Why is it that all these “great progressive ideas,” like replacing experience with a dedicated degree program, never pan out?
Mj, PJ Cole was just jealous of your skinny jeans.
————————————–
Hahahaha. Shut up.
Two things that are not compatible: Mare and skinny jeans.
This comment was brought to you by Rosetta, a full flavored douche.
John Dewey, Geoff. John Fucking Dewey.
And in regards to missiles: launching the missile is good enough for me – doesn’t even matter if it crosses the border. Your intent has been demonstrated, so the hammer should be brought down upon you.
WhoTF is John Dewey?
WhoTF is John Dewey?
———————————
The guy who popularized skinny jeans.
Mare?

“Your intent has been demonstrated, so the hammer should be brought down upon you.”
Exactly, I don’t get it.
Carin, don’t you have salads and soup to disperse?
Mare?
http://is.gd/RxZxgq
Mj, are you showing off my skinny jeans?
Exactly Geoff
Just because I shoot 100 rounds of 9mm into your house and you are not hurt I am not guilty of anything?
World View, backwards, or upside down.
Hey now! They’re only trying to kill the Juice after all! /prog
No one hears about the Pali rockets being fired. They only hear of Israeli retaliation. As soon as you inform said LIV of the Palistinian rockets, you always get 1 of 2 answers:
1) Wow, that’s terrible! I can’t believe that I haven’t heard of that. (not heard very often)
2) You need to quit watching Fox News, they LIE! (heard much more often)
My last comment was stupid, more stupid than my other comments.
I blame MJ.
No one ever asks where I get my news, either. I don’t watch Fox, because I’d be 1-2 days behind if I did.
Internet news is where it’s at.
Mj, are you showing off my skinny jeans?
——————–
Yeah, that was the purpose but I kind of flubbed it.
Well, in 7 minutes I have to say goodbye to two of my favorite co-workers. They were let go because of their high salaries and obvious lack of knowledge about the business after 30 plus years. I mean, what could you possibly learn and teach the younger generation after that long?
*cuddle hate-bear
Let’s just be blunt: lefties don’t like jews. They’re anti-semetic bigots who wouldn’t mind firing up the ol’ human pizza ovens.
The FAUX news thing cracks me up. They air Juan Wms and Geraldo. You watch Snuffleupagus and think there is no bias. I don’t watch FOX because they give credence to the O’Reilly’s, the Geraldo’s, and the Shep’s.
Here is why we are losing America. This is what people have been taught for nearly 35 years.
http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/12062
We are well and truly fucked.
I don’t watch FOX because they give credence to the O’Reilly’s, the Geraldo’s, and the Shep’s.
Credence to their what?
MJ, did they get a severance package? Will they be looking for jobs?
HAHAHA…MJ, our skinny jeans deal didn’t work out.

My last comment was stupid, more stupid than my other comments.
I blame MJ.
MCPO, just a couple of days ago, at Drudge (I think), he linked a Toys r Us catalog with gender neutral ads. Boys holding dolls and that kind of crap.
It’s connected (again, I think) to the whole pussification of men.
It gives them a platform to speak and the MFM attributes their beliefs to me. Just like I have to own every idiotic thing a Republican says, I have to believe everything the progs at FOX report. I get tired of defending people I don’t even watch.
Maybe if we started referring to them as Evangelical Muslims?
I need to go workout. No physical activity for 21 days after my surgery. Blow me, anti-physical activity person.
“…give credence to the O’Reilly’s, the Geraldo’s, and the Shep’s.”
I can’t stomach any of those blow hards.
Jay is right, internet news is good enough. Must be considering I haven’t watched any TV news since 9-11.
When are you getting your eyes done MCPO?
No more belly putters!
Heck, if you can filter what you see, you can get news from blogs and twitter real time, as it’s happening.
But you have to know the sources, and combine them with opposing views, and opposing personalities.
Almost like journalism used to be. But you can be informed. It will be biased as per the sources you use, but you can work around that. As hard as it is, reading the other side is a necessary evil.
MJ, did they get a severance package? Will they be looking for jobs?
———————————————–
They both have a pretty good severance based on their time employed.
There were options for employment within the company, but the part that really burns me is one of the jobs was re-posted, but at a lower level. Rather than carrying a manager title, it’s listed as an individual contributor, which just means less pay. I’ll be assuming some of the responsibilities, but guiding the new hire.
The truth is the opportunity was taken to remove people not liked, or more accurately, not really known by the president. It happens, but tends not to happen when we’re growing at an acceptable rate. When we’re not, we have to squeeze every dollar to improve margin (operating income).
J’ames, yep.
Carin, don’t you have salads and soup to disperse?
Today I’m making folks fetch their own food.
John Dewey- from wiki:
John Dewey (/ˈduːi/; October 20, 1859 – June 1, 1952) was an American philosopher, psychologist and educational reformer whose ideas have been influential in education and social reform. Dewey was an important early developer of the philosophy of pragmatism and one of the founders of functional psychology. He was a major representative of progressive education and liberalism.[2][3]
Although Dewey is known best for his publications concerning education, he also wrote about many other topics, including experience, nature, art, logic, inquiry, democracy, and ethics.
In his advocacy of democracy, Dewey considered two fundamental elements—schools and civil society—as being major topics needing attention and reconstruction to encourage experimental intelligence and plurality. Dewey asserted that complete democracy was to be obtained not just by extending voting rights but also by ensuring that there exists a fully formed public opinion, accomplished by effective communication among citizens, experts, and politicians, with the latter being accountable for the policies they adopt.[
That last bit shows the bias of wiki.
His ed philosophies have morphed (or the reality of his ideas) into teachers basically TELLING kids what to think, or leading them to the conclusions they desire. To disregard facts and history in order to encourage kids thinking for themselves.
Of course, thinking BEFORE THEY KNOW ANYTHING.
No one ever asks where I get my news, either. I don’t watch Fox, because I’d be 1-2 days behind if I did.
Internet news is where it’s at.
I watch Fox’s 6 pm show, and it’s Sunday show. Everything else I can do w/o. SOmetimes I watch the Five while i’m working out, but more for entertainment than info.
I got into fights from kindergarten through high school, but I am not a tough guy. My youngest punched a somali kid who was picking on him in 2nd grade, when they both got detention (the other kid had a long history, my kid first time in the office) we started home schooling.
“Today I’m making folks fetch their own food.”
Good, we like you around here. Also, does that mean your family will be making dinner?
It’s been a long, long time since I got into a fight, but I’ve been in a few.
I’m actually about the most milquetoast guy I know.
Right until I’m not.
Fighting, to me, does not translate to tough guy, although I’m sure we all know a few of those.
I think I was getting at a willingness to defend, throw a punch or fight for something whether it was deserving or not.
I’m not sure, mare. My dad just got out of a short stay in the ICU (in since Friday), and he may want to make something.
THis work thing sucks. Im going to apply for a bridge card and become a taker so I can hang here more often.
(actually, I don’t mind work – everyone’s pretty nice and we try to have fun)
*applies for Obamaphone, heating assistance, bridge card, HUD voucher, and whatever else they hand out to
the worthless among usthe noble poor.I got in two real fights as a teenager and one not really a fight. The one not really a fight, I was kinda being a bully, but the smartass had it coming. If it had been a real fight, that kid would have gotten hurt. The other times, I held my own, and they never messed with me again.
I’m a pretty mellow guy, but I do a slow burn, and then bam, hammer time.
*does a little dance
Oh yea, hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!
So, Rich, how did you feel about last friday’s BBF?
DId you want to “hammer time” MJ?
Rich is silent but deadly…..hahaha…mare made a funny.
Speaking of fighting, has anyone punched Jon Huntsman or several of our republican senators for me yet?
In the Army, wrassling and dogpiling were perfectly acceptable forms of behavior, usually in mostly good fun. You could choke a guy out, but throwing a punch was a violation of good order and discipline.
When the Army ended bayonet training, the usual suspects raised a hue and cry, bemoaning how pussified the Army was getting. But what they didn’t notice was that the Army had also instituted a much stronger combatives program. The guy in charge of training noted that combatives, hand to hand, knife fighting, etc, for a lot of new soldiers, was the first thing close to a fight they’d ever been in. And surprise, surprise, getting punched or thrown to the ground wasn’t the end of the world. Getting in the ring, sparring, and kicking the crap out of someone (and getting the crap kicked out of you) was even kinda fun.
Roamy’s was excellent. I missed the abomination that MJ posted until you just mentioned it. Damn you Car in.
*shakes fist at Mare
Everybody’s kung foo fighting…..
Ga. I have to stop reading Zero hedge. It makes me cry like a baby and/or rock back in forth in a catatonic state.
The hand-to-hand Uncle Sam taught me was pretty worthless with one noteable exception, the rear-stranglehold takedown.
I was at a party when some guy started tuning up his wife right in front of us.
I took him down and choked him out. Then I got angry and kicked him in the head one time.
“I took him down and choked him out. Then I got angry and kicked him in the head one time.”
Well done!
“The hand-to-hand Uncle Sam taught me was pretty worthless with one noteable exception, the rear-stranglehold takedown.”
Have you tried it on hookers or sheep?
I’m not a violent person, Rich.
Hookers get the chloroform.
Sheep get the velcro gloves.
*awards xbrad a nobel/ipad
Don’t really know the accuracy of this chart but it will make you crazy nonetheless:
http://therealrevo.com/blog/?p=88997
My turkey carcass/rice soup turned out very well, thank you very much.
I started it last friday, but had to put the project on freeze until I got a day off.
mare that was on Zero hedge. It was what caused my crying/catatonic state. As well as the rest of the article.
Yeah, like you’re gonna give an iPad to xbrad.
A lot of people who rarely or never watch Fox News seem to have a lot to say about them. I watch them all the time. I’m not sure our opinions are in sync. Also, with Fox or any other “news” source, it helps if you grasp the differences between opinion shows and actual news shows. I watch Fox “news” shows routinely and find them amazingly timely.
Shep Smith’s eyes are too weird for me to watch (besides him being a whiny fag). Geraldo is a whore and O’Rielly is a 75% wrong, prick.
Just hearing links to them from other sources is enough for me. Geraldo just got picked up by a local radio station here…..he’s crap.
Like I said … knowing the difference between news and opinion shows.
Somebody mentioned Zyzzyx Road here a couple weeks ago. It featured prominently in one Michael Connelly book. But, via last night’s ONT, it turns out, there’s also a really, really bad movie by that name.
http://www.zyzzyxrdthemovie.com/
Wow. Ded.
Yep
Uh huh.
Nice work, xbrad. Army training has served you well.
Anyone notice that all your liberal friends (like on facebook) could care less about politics ?
Their team won, now they’re back to reality tv or whatever the eff they do.
rear-stranglehold chokedown took down the h2
Good job xbrad.
I have no idea what my liberal friends think. In fact, I could give a shit about their opinion because they are always, without fail, wrong.
When they speak they no so little, and spout such cliches that I don’t bother talking to them. It’s like trying to engage me on football. I know that the pitcher is paid a lot if he gets a hat trick, but I know fuckall about how the teams use the triangle offense to shoot 3 pointers.
Their team won, now they’re back to reality tv or whatever the eff they do.
Yeppers. With one exception, all of my liberal friends are back to posting about reality TV, which as we all know, is not real in any way.
I flush an Obama doll floating in urine every day. I didn’t realize I was an artist.
I have no idea what my liberal friends think. In fact, I could give a shit about their opinion because they are always, without fail, wrong.
this is sorta my point. The election – to them – is about NOTHING but the team sport aspect. They don’t understand the fiscal cliff, or how anything fucking works. They want free contraceptives, and GO OBAMA they’re off. They pretended they were SO INTO it, but they didn’t know fuck-all about it a bit of it.
So, now that the game is over, they could give two shits.
Dammit, Hotspur, now the office is staring at me while I laugh my ass off.
On liberal friend – who was always posting bullshit, now posts every day about Doctor WHo.
I don’t recall Mr. TiFW ever mentioning getting into any fights. He and his brothers would wrassle when they were younger, but they all got along pretty well as kids. They lived in a REALLY small town (<1500, nearest town is 30 miles away), so if any kid got into a fight, their mom had usually heard about it before they got home.
And nobody wanted to get in trouble with mom……
As for me, I was always the runt of the class, so if anyone had ever wanted to beat me up, they would have had to aim really low. I didn’t get picked on very much – prolly ‘cuz people were afraid I would break if they touched me (I was a wee thing back in the day).
I did try to stand up for those who needed defending – most of the “bullies” weren’t willing to go through me, and I was never afraid to stand up to them. It was probably more blissful ignorance on my part than anything else, though – it never occurred to me that anyone might want to take a swing at me. Kinda like the “Chickenhawk” character on Looney Tunes, come to think of it….. 😛
I was also smart enough that I would help anyone who needed it with their homework – I wouldn’t do it for them, but I loved helping people if they didn’t understand what was going on.
People don’t tend to beat up that kid, I guess…..
OK, so…I’m confused. Morsi’s power grab included the court system, yes? So, is the concern that they weren’t radical enough?
http://news.yahoo.com/egypt-court-sentences-8-death-over-prophet-film-142630945.html
You just proved the giant failing of he Romney campaign: reaching out to morons.
We make fun of the idiots that vote because they heard Obama talk about his love for both red and green chili on a New Mexico pop station, but the point is that they vote. And their vote counts as much as yours.
While depth of knowledge might be correlated to serious issues, it has absolutely nothing to do with winning elections.
I heard Morsi is secretly dealing with the Israelis.
Repeat endlessly, then watch Egypt burn.
*hands down death sentence in absentia to MJ*
I mean, seriously – would YOU want to be known as the person who beat up the cute little girl in the dorky glasses on the front row?
http://is.gd/7MUukq
(Never realized that Eric Weisner was rockin’ the Captain Kirk outfit til just now…..)
Every presidential election for as far as I can remember was won by the guy who seemed most likeable.
All the media had to do was define Romney as unlikeable and we happily reelected the worst president in history.
We make fun of the idiots that vote because they heard Obama talk about his love for both red and green chili on a New Mexico pop station, but the point is that they vote. And their vote counts as much as yours.
And yet, 6 million FEWER of them voted this time, and we still managed to lose what should have been a very winnable election.
The problem, I’m afraid, lies with our side.
And I honestly don’t know if the problem is one of apathy, “lost” votes (I’m willing to bet there were a lot of these in places we will never hear about), or something else.
I do believe what I’ve read about this upcoming generation being more conservative than most – it’s just going to take time for them to start being aware of what’s going on in the larger world. Once they start having kids, I think things will take a turn rightward.
After all, the liberals aren’t keeping up with conservatives in the reproducing numbers. What parents say STILL matters – and those lessons reach far into the future, whether we realize it or not.
Good day, miscreants.
I do believe what I’ve read about this upcoming generation being more conservative than most.
—————————
I keep hoping this is the case, but so far all of the numbers say that they are voting more democratic than most.
There are conservative issues that are non-negotiable for them.
MJ – I’m becoming more of a libertarian, and I think the GOP needs to do so as well.
Let’s push the shit out of civil unions. And decide /realize that abortion is never going to go away.
Because it’s not.
we need to take charge and frame these issues and stop playing their fucking game.
Conservatism is icky.
It’s not that.
We should just give up on issues that that are dooming us.
But, that’s not really my argument. There is absolutely NOTHING a president is going to do about Abortion.
Nothing.
Aside from insuring that I don’t pay for them, I don’t even want it discussed politically.
And Paul Ryan did propose some bill about life, etc.
It’s a complete loser for us, and it’s a meaningless battle.
Once they start having kids, I think things will take a turn rightward.
Free birth control. Always one step ahead of us.
Long term demographics favors those whose kids show up, so the free birth-control crowd doesn’t have long.
I’ve about reached the point where I’m gonna tell all of the pro-choice people that as far as I’m concerned, the fewer babies born to their kind, the better.
In fact, I’m going to encourage them to kill off their future as quickly as possible.
Let’s face it – they’ll only end up with worthless degrees, they aren’t going to contribute much to the tax base, and they’re not that attractive to begin with. The fewer people I have to listen to in the future spouting all of the nonsense that comes out of their mouths, the better.
Somehow, I think my sarcasm will be lost on them, and I will be called an insensitive redneck, but as long as they keep on committing institutuional suicide, who am I to argue with them?
Long term demographics favors those whose kids show up
So, you’re in favor of Amnesty, then?
From a Darwinnian standpoint, birth control and abortion are selective pressures. We’re the descendants of those that didn’t use them, and the world will ultimately be inherited by those that didn’t.
In 200 years, the world will be populated almost exclusively with Duggars and Romneys.
And, yes, I denounce myself.
I wish I could find that comment from last week on twitter (regarding the effectiveness of Iron Dome protecting Israelis and some asshole deciding therefore the Palis were harmless), “So, if I invented a jock strap that was 90% effective protecting you can I still keep kicking you in the balls?”
So, you’re in favor of Amnesty, then?
I don’t favor it, but part of the reason the jobs are even here for them to take is the 20 million kids we didn’t have since Roe v Wade.
Actually, I favor invading Mexico. Free US citizenship to any refugees who want to sign up. We’ll need them as guides and translators.
Part 507 in an ongoing series where I taunt those who favor distance sports:

This could actually be fun, come to think of it – trollling all of the pro-abortion sites and telling all of those young women who are so proud of their abortions how happy I am that the blob of cells that they got rid of won’t ever be able to influence public policy or go to the polls to cast a vote – their “high-minded” philosophy will end with them.
I may even thank them for performing a valuable public service for the babies who are being born – by aborting their offspring, they are making the political future a whole lot easier for those conservatives who do decide to have children.
If they have a problem with that, I’ll just suggest that they take it up with Gloria Steinem’s daught……
MJ – I’m becoming more of a libertarian, and I think the GOP needs to do so as well.
—————————
I’ve pretty much always been there. I just don’t talk about it much.
I agree that we need to be less reactionary. The left is pretty reactionary too, so we should feed them bait they can’t resist. Kinda like fluke.
Alinsky would approve, but I’m keeping quiet, per Napoleon (Napo…leon? The short guy? Hmm.)
“Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”
Best of all, though, if they wait too late to have children, their chances of being able to have one that is biologically related to them go down dramatically – an awful lot of babies born through IVF to older mothers use donor eggs from younger women.
So there’s no telling what the roll of the genetic dice will bring into their home when they finally decide to play “Beat the Biological Clock” – but it’s a fair bet that the “donors” aren’t up to the older woman’s vaunted intellectual and cultural standards.
And whether they like it or not, you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
Our Governor just announced 150 million in spending cuts. Everyone is talking about how much this is going to hurt. STEEP PAINFUL CUTS and this is after raising our taxes by a billion.
It’s less than 1% of the total budget.
Alinsky would approve, but I’m keeping quiet, per Napoleon (Napo…leon? The short guy? Hmm.)
“Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”
Realistically, it’s already too late for them – they haven’t been able to keep their reproductive rate high enough to survive long term.
And I’m tired of keeping quiet – if I’m going to be accused of being hateful, by God, I’m going to start living up to their expectations. They just THINK I’m hateful – they don’t know what I’m like when I hate something.
They’re about to find out, though…… 😛
This is also why I never attempt to correct a vegan.
We should encourage libs to become marathon runners.
This is also why I never attempt to correct a vegan.
The only way to correct a vegetable is with salt and pepper.
Why be afraid of the ugly labels?
Embrace the Icky!
Vegans are stinky. REAL stinky.
The only way to correct a vegetable is with salt and pepper.
How could you forget butter and/or lard?
WTF?! Need an EKG before referral-approved surgery. Can’t get EKG for six weeks and surgery is in 12 days?! FFS!
Oh, I didn’t forget them. You can’t make a good meat sauce without butter. Then, you drown the vegetables.
Can’t get EKG for six weeks and surgery is in 12 days?! FFS!
If you like your medical plan, you can keep it.
Can’t get EKG for six weeks and surgery is in 12 days?!
Go to the ER, tell them you have chest pains. You’ll get a fucking EKG right quick.
Just FYI, I am literally making a pendant light fixture using a Ball jar and a ball point pen.
*calls MacGyver*
Mine is single-payer, government run, bureaucratically fucked up model of what you will all have in 10 years. Sucks to be us.
Did anyone else smuggle 4 lb of coke to meet a Bolivian bikini model today?
MJ, are you using a company computer, email system and server for your comments above?
Think twice my friend.
Chief,
Walk by the ER entrance, grimace, grab your left-arm, and fall to the ground. They will do an EKG right now!
I am literally making a pendant light fixture using a Ball jar and a ball point pen.
Not without OSHA, EPA and DoE approvals you don’t. The federal marshals are on their way.
Our Governor just announced 150 million in spending cuts.
Finally, someone who’s not afraid to stand up to ugly naked people.
I’m trying to figure out the fucking ethical thing to do here.
>> I am literally making a pendant light fixture using a Ball jar and a ball point pen.
Well yeah, but can you rebuild a transmission with it?
Not without OSHA, EPA and DoE approvals you don’t.
I’m only making the thing, not installing it. Saw an antique blue Ball jar and it got under my skin.
*shakes fist at MacGyver*
I’m trying to figure out the fucking ethical thing to do here.
I say this with equal parts sorrow and cynical realism: Ethics these days are irrelevant.
This is a society filled with thieves by proxy, with the government doing the thieving for them. It’s tough to be ethical in a village where half the inhabitants steal for a living.
MCPO, call your surgeon and explain. He may be able to call and fit you in. It’s not a time-sucker procedure.
Dave, why would I want to??
Chief,
Can’t you just go to one of those “Doc in The Box” walk-in clinics and pay cash for one? They only take a few minutes.
MacGuyvering things out of household items is more fun if you can make huge, noisy, fireball explosions.
I have a few books based on that, George.
I leave the fireball explosions to Hubby. He’s been making explosives since 6th grade. I just deal with glue.
*sniffs*
*open’s bottle of Elmer’s*
*huffs deeply*
Elmer’s??
Amateur…
*passes tube of E-6000*
Anyone have an idea on what an EKG costs? $1800!
open’s bottle of Elmer’s
I prefer PVC cement. A much cleaner buzz….
You realize of course that $1800 is on account solely because doctors are greedy, and has nothing to do with legally required paperwork, reams of regulation, and covering the costs for people who don’t have to pay for other medical services.
Can you claim that you are a heartless bastard and get a discount, Chief?
And in the thieving and stealing file, we now have Mass. attempting to define the rich (as in “making the rich pay more in taxes”) as anyone making over $100K, to tax them more for the MBTA and Big Dig (union central).
Don’t most of the workers on MTBA and the Big Dig make over $100k? And if not, what good is their union?

See also: prices, gas.
$1800? Holy shit!
When I was going to get a bone-spur chiseled off the roof of my mouth, the gas-passer wouldn’t put me under without me getting blood-work, chest X-ray, and an EKG. I guess he wanted assurance that this old-man would not die on the table.
Everybody goes under. Not all of us wake-up.
I took the bone-spur off myself.
And in the thieving and stealing file, we now have Mass. attempting to define the rich (as in “making the rich pay more in taxes”) as anyone making over $100K, to tax them more for the MBTA and Big Dig (union central).
How……unexpected.
Don’t most of the workers on MTBA and the Big Dig make over $100k?
Not offically. But when you add in the time they short change their employers and/or steal from the sate, they actually do.
state, not sate.
And isn’t there another i in officially? Why yes, yes, there is.
Veterinarians get about $300 for EKG’s.
It must be 6 times harder to test people.
They’re all tuckers!!!
It must be 6 times harder to test people.
Can you really see an ACD sitting still for those stupid pads and all those wires? I don’t think so. 🙂
Veterinarians get about $300 for EKG’s.
Dogs neither vote for entitlements nor hire ambulance chasers.
They usually chase ambulances themselves, come to think of it.
My dog has a smaller negative net worth than most people with an EBT.
Also, she’s provided me a valuable service in entertainment alone.
That’s awesome AD. Hopefully they move here.
I once asked my vet to be my primary care physician.
She said no.
>> Dave, why would I want to??
You want MacGuyver cred, you got to execute MacGuyver op.
It’s less than 1% of the total budget.
—————————–
Always laugh about this. 1% isn’t even recognizable in government budgets.
Take 100 state employees. Fire one of them. No one will notice.
MJ, are you using a company computer, email system and server for your comments above?
Think twice my friend.
———————————————
Do you really think I’m that stupid?
Wait, don’t answer that.
The answer is no. I have never used a company device including my cell phone, computer, or car (when I had one) for anything other than work.
We have cut our spending by at least 30% in response to their policies.
They bitch about cutting spending by less than 1%.
I don’t think you can really call it spending when it’s not your money.
They are merely distributing.
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!
We saved about $10,000 in cigarettes and food alone.
Cancelled health insurance
Refinanced
Stopped eating out
1% would be a couple tanks of gas.
Assholes.
Ruh-roh – I take it the Chief isn’t getting his surgery as originally scheduled…..
What frosts me? My catastrophic care for 2 people is about $468/month (deductible is a boat load can’t remember about 5k). We lucked out, great health, no pre-existing conditions. That number goes up about every few months. And we have not used our health care in….I can’t remember ever using it (for my husband and myself).
That number would be at least $150. less if we could shop between states. A lot less if the all the health care systems used the same SIMPLE forms. Add torte reform into the mix and imagine how that number comes down. Get insurance companies to stop providing bs drugs and procedures like Viagra and sex changes and I’m looking at affordable health care.
Viagra and BC are both recreational drugs. Drop ’em.
Mare, you are obviously a transgenderaphobe.
Tsk, tsk – off to the re-education camps with you, missy……
New poat.
Totally agree, Leon. And that’s the tip of the iceberg.
I’ve been checking out lots of articles on statins and find it interesting that for the majority of people, women in particular, they do nothing. But cost a boatload.
I don’t need or want them, thank goodness, the subject keeps popping up on sites I read.
Although I guess, stupid, lazy women would simply get pregnant if they didn’t get free birth control and our insurance would have to pay that.
Statins are less than worthless. They reduce systemic inflammation at the cost of interrupting normal cholesterol metabolism. No one should take them.
We cut our income by a crap load too. How come us ordinary stiffs are able to do what a bunch of Harvard educated folks can’t?
As did we. Mrs. Caruthers had hated her contract job for months, so we calculated that we could afford to live a little less large and she could start her photography bidness. It’s been a month and we’re still waiting for Wayne County to grant her bidness license.
We’ve trimmed the budget too….like Carin said, we figured it out, but the dipshits in DC can’t. Stupid, lazy assholes.
And I know my stupid and lazy.
The problem, I’m afraid, lies with our side.
Not so sure. Worked with a young gal, who seemed very libertarian, didn’t like big government, wanted to earn big dollars…..she didn’t vote because she sees no difference between the parties.
My kids are conservative but I had to hound one to vote. The other was indifferent until he started paying taxes on real income. It pisses him off.
Teresa, you were a pixie.
