My Thoughts

If you are looking for a dark and scary thriller, this is your read. Don’t get me wrong, when I am in a good mood the books that start with a few bodies are my favourite, so this was the perfect book to put a smile on my face on these grey days!
This is the 11th book of the series Robert Hunter, you can read it as standalone, but Hunter is an amazing detective and his cases are always twisted and very bloody, they are worth every page. If you want to follow this great detective and his team, I would recommend you to start from the beginning, they are addictive.
Everything will start when Angela Wood steals an expensive leather bag, it doesn’t contain anything valuable to her, only a notebook; the notebook of a very dangerous man. She will take the notebook to the police and this is when the LAPD’s Ultra Violent Crimes Unit become involved in this case, led by Detective Robert Hunter the notebook will be the most dangerous thing they have possibly ever seen. And this is as much I can tell you about the plot, because I am sure that you’ll love this read; there will be victims, a lot, but the case is like watching a movie; the fear, tension and need to hide from the buggy man will feel real, believe me.
This is not my first case by Robert Hunter and I really hope it will not be the last one, each one is darker and more interesting, it makes you want to discover which vicious killer will be next and how dangerous it will be. But, always trying to protect our characters, in the end they are our heroes, don’t they?
Sometimes, a haunting story is the best way to go to sleep, knowing that you are safe in your home, but are your dreams too? Don’t be surprised if Written in Blood will accompany you for a few nights! 😉

About The Author

Born in Brazil of Italian origin, Chris Carter studied psychology and criminal behaviour at the University of Michigan. As a member of the Michigan State District Attorney’s Criminal Psychology team, he interviewed and studied many criminals, including serial and multiple homicide offenders with life imprisonment convictions. He now lives in London.
