St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church is located at 1358 15th Place Southwest in Birmingham, just west of Elmwood Cemetery. On its front porch, inside the glass, is the cornerstone of its 1901 building. In a previous post I shared images of a 1949 stone for St. Mark A.M.E. on a building at 1529 6th Street North. That congregation moved to Mason City in 1999 and became New St. Mark A.M.E.
