Something More

I can’t help but to write. They always say, “Bleed when you write”, so here I am giving my blood away (Romans 8:18-39).

The weight of the world is an awful one. They say we are the future, yet that gives me the biggest thrill and scare of my life.

“Who am I? is the question.

Yes, I am a daughter of God, destined to use my talents for the King (Ephesians 2:10). The question still remains, who am I?

Yes, I know I am special, loved, and cherished. Here is another question: How do I live that way? How do I put into practice exactly who I am meant to be?

How is one to go about living the way one is called to (Colossians 1:16-17)?

The world is like some kind of trick, a battle we have to win in fear of becoming nothing in the eyes of society(Ephesians 6:10-18). Yet, I almost wonder that if we just went through life the way God designed, with no expectation of society, how much happier we would be?

No “rules” on how much to weigh. No “rules” on what stores to shop at or what social media platforms will make you the coolest. Forget the “rules” of living and live the way life was meant to be: just one huge celebration (Psalm 16:11).

The celebration that we are simply alive. The celebration and zeal that should wake us up in the morning (John 1:4). Yet, the world isn’t this way.

Instead, we wake up to the sound of our alarms, children crying, and so many other sounds than peace (Ecclesiastes 2:17). We wake up and immediately think of the job we have to accomplish; deep inside me something screams for more. My only conclusion that I can draw from this is we were made for another place (John 14:1-4).

We were made to dwell with the Majesty in Heaven. We were made to walk in peace with our Savior daily. We were made to worship with the angels. We were made for something more (1 Peter 2:9-12 NASB).
