six more Columbia 10 inch lps, ML2000 series

These are my next six Columbia 10 inch lps. The first two are apparently Darrill Connelly drawings. The next two are signed Steinweiss covers. The last two are one generic and one sticker. My guess is as follows: Columbia issued many of these on generic covers. Then they issued many of them on sticker covers. Then they finally asked artists to design new covers for them. The Connellys are from 1950, the Steinweiss covers from 1949 I believe. The Steinweiss Kostelanetz with the rabbit on it is a copy of the 78 rpm set cover. The sticker one simplifies the 78 rpm cover of that set. In other words, expecct that numerous different covers exist for many of these.

  1. This is really interesting. I’d love to hear more about where how you were able to attribute ML2003 and ML2010 to Connelly? They certainly look like his work, but I’d love to hear more about it.
