😀 Yes, I’ve pulled up my chair and made myself comfortable (while hoping one or two of the speakers will be really brief). 😉

Yes, started with Reagan……corporations have been working on this ever since: killing unions, waging uncalled for wars, lying, lying, lying, fanning prejudice…..yes, Moyers is absolutely correct.

Reagan hated the federal workers in particular and their unions … remember what he did to the air traffic controllers?

That’s when I started hating Reagan.

JOB, that single act was so ugly and immoral, it made me sick to my stomach. This shallow, venal man was full of hatred and prejudices and I could not stand him from the moment he came on the scene. He was a mediocre actor and and disaster of a president.

Agree, agree, agree. Reagan: The big “hero” of the RWNJs.

We knew what he was from California. He went after teachers and nurses. Wanted to destroy the professional organizations of those professions, called public schools “government schools” said they were a monopoly. We were in Canada when he broke the Air Traffic Controllers……made the news there too. He was AWFUL!!!!!

Reagan was one of the worst things to happen to this country. It amazes me that so many people are so gullible. From his manipulation of the Iran hostage crisis, to the deception of his health at the end of his presidency, all the way down to the rewriting of history by the GOP fanatics.

I watched a History Channel special on Monday that ran down every US President from Washington to Obama, and it was stunning how much gloss they used when talking about Reagan (and Bush II).

I know I’m only listening to this lady with half an ear, but still, overall this seems disjointed. The words are English sure, yet ….

President Barack Obama is brilliant. That’s all. I do hope other businesses join Gap in raising minimum wage for their workers.

So my take-aways from the Press Conference were:

    1) Monarch Butterflies have the attention of the entire continent. Yay!

    Some background from last November:

    2) After gun control measures have been enacted after the 2014 #LandslideDems win in both Houses of Congress, Gabby Giffords would be the perfect ambassador for promoting the student exchange that all three leaders mentioned. She’s fluent in Spanish, has a Mexican (as in lives in Mexico City) half-brother and spent her Fulbright years as a student in Mexico. She’s really a remarkable woman, and such a spunky go-getter. My admiration for her has no end. I’ve said before her life story would make a remarkable movie (with Rachel McAdams or Amy Adams in the lead role). She deserves to be a role model for every American girl.

Arapaho, I couldn’t agree more. She has more determination and true grit than any ten superheroes. If every young woman strove to be like her, they could change the world.

I missed part of our President’s response to the Syria/Ukraine question due to tech difficulties; hoping that Chips or Nerdy W. will post tomorrow.

Was Venezuela mentioned, or just Ukraine? I’m guessing not, since they’re on a different continent, but still, they’re in our hemisphere…

Here’s a couple of tweets about Ukraine that were in Jeff Gauvin’s timeline today.

After what has occurred after the protesters were granted amnesty (more than 20 dead), it’s hard to believe the Ukrainian Government’s truce “promise.”

Welcome to the #Snowdenwald world, the spiritual home of emoPutins (LL posted a link to another article on the previous thread, but due to aforementioned tech problems, wasn’t able to post on that thread).

I really don’t understand men who have no qualms using force against women who are obviously smaller than that man, and men have an advantage in upper body strength.

If I were a man in that position, I would be ashamed of my actions. It’s like physical child abuse — you’re bigger and stronger as an adult, so yeah it’s easy but it’s not right.

MUST SEE! Contained in a tweet to Chips, this is where POTUS was today:

Rachel was hitting it on all cylinders tonight. My husband wanted to watch, because he’d read or heard that she was taking care of Christie. She did tonight, the entire first half hour. New evidence, new information, new dots connected.
Then she spent time on the Ukraine and what’s going on, showing live streaming of the square and the President’s statement, which was strong…warning against using the military.
Then she did a good number on Gov McCrory of N. Carolina and his subpoenas and criminal actions filed about his pollution, then closed with the Bush travesty today at his “Institute” and wrapping himself in the glory of the veterans he sent to Iraq and Afghanistan. She did a beautiful job with him.
It was a good evening. Color on TV is still dark, but I sat in the next room and listened. That was all that was necessary.
Sometimes I don’t agree with her, but when she’s on, she’s on. And, she is a scholar and a researcher, and her people are researchers. She does not talk off the top of her head when dealing with subjects such as these. I’ve noticed that when she does these researched projects, other people follow her.

Good Evening my Chips and TOD family. So wonderful to see my handsome grandson, Danny. Chips, granny will baby sit anytime. Danny’s eyes just speaks volumes of a brilliant mind. Next State Dinner, please make sure he has his invitation to sit with Bo and Sunny. He will make excellent company for our First Dogs. I can just see him in his tie sitting there with Bo and Sunny.

Carolyn, I totally concur with your comment. Rachel was on fire tonight. She can work the nerves at times, but as you stated,”When she’s on, she’s on.” She was on again tonight.

Everyone, have a beautiful evening, morning. (((((((((((((((((((Candle smells so lovely for Mother, Chips.))))))))))))))))))))))) Loving healing scents of peace, healing, and loving prayers. ()HZ
