Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
I’ve recently had the opportunity to experience a disruption in the routine/perception of time. The days lost their teeth. Having returned to the world of “40 hrs”, my challenge is whether I’ll be able to sustain the benefits of this disruption. Odds are against me, lol. How does this relate to writing? I’m glad you asked! For those of us in the work force, our time is limited by the obvious and, depending on the flexibility of our work, cuts into our leisure writing time (how dare that happen!) So what can a body do? Write whenever and wherever we can! The other thing is to participate in blog hops. What better vehicle to keep us from sliding off the page into writer’s oblivion, eh? This blog hop, Six Sentence Stories requires you write a mere 6 sentences. That’s all. No more. No less. Surely, all of us can “find” time each week to write a story, poem, memoir-ette or current scene from our serial story? We can do this people. We must do this. Do not let the pens dry out. Write, if only 6 sentences. You’ll be glad you did.
