Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another round of Six Sentence Stories. Alright! Everyone give me a “Oorah”, “Hooah” or a “Hooyah” or just plain old “Yay” will do 😀 It’s that time of the week for everyone to link up your SSS and let the festivities begin! I’m seeing some new faces out there and they’ve got their 6’s in hand so what say we get this party started!
Rules of the hop? Less than 6!
Write 6 sentences, no more, no less.
Use this week’s prompt word in your story.
Any genre of writing acceptable.
Meet back here to link up your story and let the adventures begin 🙂
CUE WORD: INVESTIGATE

—Nathaniel Hawthorne

Hi Deepa. If you copy the URL to your SSS and then click on the inlinkz blue frog appearing in the post, it will take you to the page where you paste your story’s URL. Then the link to your story will be on the page with everyone else’s links and you’ll get way more exposure. Give it a try and let me know if you have any difficulty. I just checked and Mimi of Messy Mimi’s Meanderings has already linked up 🙂

I put my original six story on my duplicate wordpress blog. Maybe it’s my age, or too much Criminal Minds, but I didn’t think it was as dark or gory as Hubby thought. I think he was shocked I would even think of something that wasn’t sunshine and rainbows. I guess I’ve kept my dark side hidden. lol You can read it here

Just got back from reading your story. I thought it was great! I’m with you – I didn’t think it was as dark or gory as your Hubby thought. I think we all have a dark side, it just manifests differently for everyone. How lucky for us that we have writing as a vehicle to express it, right?! 🙂

I just read your comment. Sorry I am so late replying, but life got in the way. I tried to reply by email but it kept bouncing. Yes, you can share my story, but it may be too late now for what you wanted. Thank you for the good comment though. Yes, the older I get, the more I appreciate what has been written and what I want to write so my children will know their parents in a different way.

No worries. It does that doesn’t it lol. I’m juggling myself lately 🙂
Sending to girlieontheedge@gmail.com?
Imo it’s never too late to share stories or posts. I’ve been known to go way back to old posts and such. If I like it, I’ll share. Good doesn’t have an expiration date 😀
Awesome. Writing is a wonderful vehicle for revealing facets of ourselves that may otherwise go unnoticed, especially by family.
