Earth Day – Learn How to Improve Stormwater Runoff

Earth Day – April 22, 2021 Learn How to Improve Stormwater Runoff

Since 1970, Earth Day has been celebrated to promote sustainable living. The Water Quality Committee is pleased to share this three-part educational video about the importance of stormwater runoff and how adopting best practices can improve our lake health. Guest Speaker Amy Rowe, Ph.D., our Rutgers Cooperative Extension Agent for Essex and Passaic Counties, provides answers to many ideas every homeowner can readily implement when managing their landscape to improve the quality and quantity of stormwater runoff from our Watershed into the Lake. One simple thing you can do today is to clean the storm drain by your home and plant a native plant.    It is your watershed! Let’s protect it!
