Today was a little slower paced compared to the rest of the week I’ve had.

I spent a couple days photographing a junior rodeo in Stettler for my editor, and then travelled up to my sister’s place on Saturday, where I shot some family photos for her and her family.

Today was supposed to be doing some more shooting with the family, but she wasn’t feeling well today, not that I am entirely sympathetic. On one hand she does get migraines, on the other, there was a get together here last night with a bunch of alcohol flowing.

Even though today turned into a wash, it was still a decent day. I got some photo editing done, and spent some time with my nieces and nephew, and generally allowed myself a chance to unwind.

I’m on the road home tomorrow, with a town council meeting tomorrow night. This was definitely a flying trip, but even though it was short, it was still nice to reconnect with family. It’s been a couple years since I saw my sister or any of the kids, and it’s been even longer than that since I’ve seen my sort-of-step-mom…that is a story for another day.

Tuesday, I swing back into my routine of coursework on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
