Amazon Freevee, the ad-supported streaming service from Amazon, has announced it will be adding more hit TV shows and movies to its lineup of original Prime Video content available for free. Among the shows that will be available soon for free are the first three episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty, followed by the entire first season of Reacher, and the full season of The Wheel of Time. Other shows that will be launching on the service in May include A League of Their Own, The Terminal List, Paper Girls, Goliath, The Tick, Homecoming, Upload, and The Vast of Night.
Amazon Freevee’s library already includes more than 50 movies and TV shows, including popular titles such as Bosch, Modern Love, Savage X Fenty, and Troop Zero. The service offers ad-supported streaming of Amazon Originals, allowing viewers to watch content for free with occasional advertisements.
Amazon Freevee’s expansion of its lineup of free content is part of the company’s efforts to compete in the crowded streaming market. With more and more people cutting the cord and relying solely on streaming services, Amazon is looking to attract a larger audience to its platform with the promise of free content.
