Hi there! TJ here. Long time listener, first time commenter.
I was really inspired by the way you handled the “Are you taking questions?” question and knew I had to write in.
My question is….
Does Jack feel pain (or anything really) when he is in his cloud form? He must physically still exist and take up space in the physical universe, even in his cloud form, so a laser blast or two must have “vaporized” a few of his molecules. I know that the Snarks have about the same blaster accuracy as Storm Troopers, but even a stray laser blast will have to hit some of Jack’s cloud body. Obviously, slower objects would just move Jack’s cloud molecules out of the way, but the lasers are not objects as much as they are focused beams of energy (thermal or otherwise) that do not “move” objects, but rather interact chemically/thermally with their target. Of course if they are objects (made of comic science and alien frustration), they are still moving too fast to move the cloud mist harmlessly out of the way.
Thanks and your sound was way way better this time. Any chance of replacing Rick with Carrie full time and just making Rick bring the beer?

Thank you for your question! We will add it to the Cowboy Science Corner and get an answer for you.
As for your second question, while it is a great idea, we run into certain child labor laws, combined with the recording time being after her bed time, and her interest in playing with Jeff’s baby more than actually recording a podcast.

She is the puffer fish of energy bolts. That is pretty great.

Thanks, I came up with it on the fly and forgot about it but on listening to the episode it made me happy that I said it.
