Scene: Safety in Numbers

[Begin scene]

A calm pond on a cool crisp autumn morning…

Gliding on the water, gathered close, a large flock of geese…

What would appear as risky behavior, swimming in such an open space, is made less so by being in large numbers…

Many pairs of watchful eyes scan the shoreline for any signs of danger…

A constant honking as they call to one another any hint of potential harm…

Looking out for one another, they each are more safe, a fine model for us.

I needed a better camera for this picture, my tablet just doesn’t have good zoom and the geese could see me approach and swam further away.
