Social Stamping – Adventure Awaits

Image may contain: text

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping in today for another week of Social Stamping. The theme of today’s hop is ‘New (Normal)’ – it’s a kind of loose theme that can be interpreted in so many ways. Some people might share cards using some new supplies they have, while others might share cards expressing the what has become the new normal way of life recently. You can use the ‘Next’ buttons at the bottom of each post to hop around to visit everyone, or if you get lost, use this link to view a complete listing of everyone sharing today.

Anyone who knows me would know I love to travel, I have visited over 40 countries all through out the world. I love experiencing new cultures, different ways of life, meeting locals and exposing myself to experiences that I could never experience here at home. Traveling allows you to enjoy other cultures, and also often reminds you not to take for granted what you have here at home.

But….the borders to international and interstate destinations are closed for now. So my version of ‘new normal’ revolves around thinking about all the places I would love to go that I have never been, and places I have been that I would like to take my kids to visit.

The two cards today are using the World of Good Suite – if you have a new Stampin’ Up! catalogue you will find it on page 24. If you don’t have a catalogue and live in Australia – get in touch and I’ll send you one. The suite consists of designer series paper, a Stamp set and Die bundle, an embossing folder, some embellishments and brass foil sheets.

Both cards are a very simple design, but I find to go for simple layouts when I am using foil paper – as the paper adds a fancy sparkle all on its own. The card bases are in one of our new colours – Misty Moonlight. The sentiments both come from the stamp set in the suite, it’s called Beautiful World.

At the bottom of this post you will find some links to some of the products I have used in today’s cards.

Next up tonight is the lovely Narelle, click below to check out her project.

  1. Striking cards. Love that you havenā€™t tried to over-complicate things with too many elements. I too would love to travel again and also take my kids to some of the places I have been to before. First up though will be visiting my family in Sydney once we are able to.

  2. This is a great take on the theme Shannon and fabulous cards to share for it! I haven’t added this bundle to my collection yet, but I feel it’s only a matter of time before you twist my arm! Kelly x

  3. both gorgeous, love the simplicity and I love the sentiments too. won’t it be wonderful when we can travel again? Hopefully Australians will take up the call to holiday somewhere local that they’ve never been before, there’s such a lot of amazing places in Oz

  4. I am with you 100% on the travel thing, especially for kids. There really is nothing better for them than to experience the world. I also really love your cards. This suite is so gorgeous and I love how you haven’t over-complicated the cards. More adventures await in the very near future, I’m sure!
