Join me for The Quest for Home #BookBlast

This week, my wonderful efriends are helping me launch my latest prehistoric fiction novel, The Quest for Home.

Driven from her home. Stalked by enemies. Now her closest ally may be a traitor.

A few early reviews…

“A Quest for Home hits the ground running.” —C. Lee McKenzie, author of Not Guilty

“I can’t begin to imagine the hours of research, not to mention the actual writing time, that went into this wonderful gem of a story. I highly recommend this book. It’s a must read for those who love prehistoric fiction.” —Sandra Cox, author of ThunderTree

I’ll be visiting blogs September 16th-30th to chat about The Quest for Home. Some of the questions we’ll cover:

  1. How do you know these people are as smart as they seem?
  2. Their speech is too sophisticated.
  3. Convince me they can communicate as well as it sounds like they do with just gestures, hands, and facial movements.
  4. Could primitive man build rafts as suggested in this story?
  5. Was there really a giant upright primate like Giganto (Zvi’s friend)?
  6. What does ‘strong’ and ‘weak’ side mean?
  7. How did early man tell time?
  8. What does a ‘hand of Sun’s travel’ mean?
  9. Why are these characters so violent?
  10. I am not reading these books in order. Does it matter?
  11. Could Xhosa (the main character of The Quest for Home) really have traveled with a wolf companion?
  12. The Quest for Home hints at a spiritual side to man. Is that accurate?
  13. This is part of a series. What’s that about?
  14. How does the trilogy Dawn of Humanity tie into the trilogy Crossroads?
  15. What’s the relationship between Xhosa (and Homo erectus) and animals?
  16. What one characteristic would you say allowed Xhosa to survive in a world populated with Sabretooth cats, violent volcanoes, and predatory species who liked to eat man?

Here’s the schedule from September 16th-30th of who I’ll visit and the question number (from the list above) I’ll answer:

Enjoy the virtual homemade cookies and Arbuckles coffee!

  3. Oh, Jacqui! I’m so sorry, I’ve completely missed this. 😯 I guess it’s now too late to help with your book launch?? Ever since that social media break during the summer I’ve been struggling to come back to blogging full throttle so to speak and am still get behind with catching up.

  4. I saw Sandra’s review of your latest book and wanted to stop by and congratulate you. However, I also wanted to thank you for your incredibly kind comments on my art, which is nothing like your incredible writing. I wish you the best with this wonderful new book. A dear friend has an e-reader and she told me she was ordering it. I hope she likes it, because it sounds incredible.

Congratulations again, and good luck with the launch of this, your latest book.

  5. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. it’s a pleasure to return the favor.

Congrats on the new release! I haven’t read any of your books, (yet) but I plan to rectify the situation asap. Your book about your daughter’s experiences as a midshipman will be the first. I’ve read several books about females who went to a military academy, but they were all written by the women themselves. It’ll be interesting to get Mom’s viewpoint. (Not at alllll proud, I’m sure… HA)

    • It was definitely a fun visit. Yes, my daughter’s story I hope is inspirational. She never considered herself Ivy League material, just tenacious. And that turned out to be the most important quality.
