The Eastern Screech Owl is one of North America’s smallest owls. Adults can be either gray or red/rufous (the different colors are referred to as “morphs”), and are roughly the same size in body length as an American Robin, though with a heavier build. Fully grown, they only weigh between 4 and 8.5 ounces.
