F1 Kitchen Restaurant is one of the latest Chinese restaurant in Puchong known for its dim sum restaurant during the day and weddings and functions in the evening. We decided to give it a try as it could be our next spot for Sunday brunch with my family and relatives.
Ambiance was great but their service was dreadful. There was not one bit of friendly gesture from the service team. Otherwise, it would’ve been a much pleasant dining experience. Food may take a little longer time as dim sum weren’t pushed around in a cart but prepared upon order.
It’s very fresh and has a nice springy texture to it. Love how they’re using actual shrimp roes topped on the ‘siew mai’.
I’d say this is something you may not be able to have in any other regular dim sum spots. Vegetarian diners could also enjoy a basket or two and not being left out.
Note: If you’re a vegetarian diner, do inform the staff who’s attending you to remove the shrimp roe.
It’s absolutely delicious! As you could see on there’s huge chunks of chicken steamed with the aromatic glutinous rice.
I’ve got to admit this was really unique and really love how both element blended perfectly together. The prawn soup was so rich in flavors and the minced pork was really moist. Based on my opinion, this has to be the highlight of the restaurant.
Although it’s a little too sweet for my liking, I believe this would be widely enjoyed by children. You get a nice hint of cheese flavors but more on the sweeter side almost like condensed milk.
This is also definitely something different which probably doesn’t offer elsewhere. An absolute unique combination of vegetables and blueberry sauce. Trust me, it does not tastes weird at all. Highly recommend!
Love the strong garlicky flavors and some heat to it from the chili. It also has a slight springy texture and wasn’t fishy.
Egg custard was really soft and almost melt-in-mouth texture while the tart was buttery and flaky.
I love the texture of the congee, it’s really thick and gooey-like loaded with sliced century eggs and pork. Recommended!
This was actually nice to have after some dim sum. It has some nice floral taste to it with some cooling aftertaste from the mint.
It’s not just any ordinary chilled pudding but there’s also some hints of osmanthus flower along with some jasmine. Pretty refreshing.
If you’re wondering what’s behind the Herbal Jelly, it’s Strawberry Sauce and yes, it is to be paired with it. As odd as the combination sounds, it tasted delightful!
If you’re looking for something with a little more acidity and tang, give this a shot. May not be much but its really palatable.
Quite milky almost like having a chocolate milkshake except its a little more bland.
I’d love to return to try more of their dim sums however their service makes one not wanting to be back for more. Perhaps some other time once they’ve revamped?
