As always, many repeated thanks to Getting Through Anxiety & The Melodramatic Confessions of Carla Louise for creating this fantastic monthly challenge!
August 11th is a “Band/Singer that starts with the letter ‘K.'” This one was slightly easier than yesterday (or earlier today… a few minutes ago, in fact). I have to give it to Kelly Clarkson.
This actually made me question my sense of self. I don’t think of myself as a “pop music” fan, but I was torn between Kelly Clarkson & Katy Perry. It doesn’t get that much more pop than those two!
Then my 3rd choice was KMFDM… so I felt better. 😀
Kelly Clarkson is one of my all-time favorite singers! I remember watching her perform on American Idol, and she’s been amazing ever since. She’s on my list of those I must see in concert!
Do you have a favorite song from Kelly Clarkson?
I don’t blame you – I also thought of both Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry!

I have a looot of favorite songs by Kelly Clarkson. I used to sing “Because of You” & “A Moment Like This” at karaoke a lot (I haven’t done them in a while, though… I should remedy that… lol); “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)” is a fantastic pick-me-up song; “Hear Me” hits me right in the feelz every time; “Before Your Love” might have been played at my wedding, I honestly can’t remember, but it has a lot of power to make me cry either way; & “Walk Away” & “Miss Independent” are definitely a pair of faves because, well, they’re all about how a woman doesn’t NEED a man – even though men are quite nice to have around 😉 .
It really didn’t take much for me to make the choice of Kelly Clarkson. CLEARLY I know more of her songs than I know Katy Perry. Are you fond of Katy Perry? What are some of your favorite songs, by either artist?

Those are great songs. I can’t help but dance like a fool when I hear “Waking Up In Vegas.” 😀

True, women can live without men but men can’t live without women.
Men are made from dust. Keep them away using a duster. Then God will send your soulmate knocking on your door.
He’ll love you more than he loves himself and will serve you, not rule you.
