‘Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. … So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. …

Now to Abrraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, ‘And to seeds,’ as of many; but as of ONE, ‘And to thy seed,’ which is Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all ONE in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.‘ (Gal. 3:6-7, 9, 16, 28-29)

Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you [‘Sarah,’ that is: New Jerusalem (Gal. 4:23-26), the Church]: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.’ (Is. 52:2)

Those who are of faith in Jesus Christ are the children of Abraham. The seed of Abraham is the Lord Jesus Christ.

This Seed is expressly spiritual; Christ came in the flesh that He might and be planted in he earth (John 12:24), and planted that He may ascend and fill all things (Eph. 4:10). Jesus Christ has finished His work on earth, and can now be planted in our hearts by faith. This process is the guarantee of our salvation. For ANY who has faith in Christ is, according to scripture, the offspring of Abraham.

Jesus affirmed that those, though genetically Abraham’s offspring were not reckoned as the children of Abraham, but those who put faith in Christ, as Abraham did, were Abraham’s offspring.

In John 8:37, Jesus acknowledged that He was speaking to Jews who were the genetic offspring of Abraham (Hebrews), BUT the Hebrews he was speaking to sought to kill Him. He points out then in verse 39 that IF they were True offspring of Abraham they would be like Abraham. Jesus there declares that their genetic heritage as Abraham’s offspring did not make them True children of Abraham. Rather, Abraham believed in and sought the Messiah, whom Jesus was. The heritage of Abraham’s FAITH is what mattered.

This is excellent news for our era, because now that Messiah has come ALL people can become True offspring of Abraham by faith in Jesus Christ, and this blessing is not bestowed on Hebrews, alone.

Let us, therefore, as Isaiah declared look to our father as according to the faith:

‘Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.’ (Is. 52:2)

God called Abraham alone. God is the God of the individual. Abraham feared God, and not man; he followed God in a personal covenant relationship which was between himself, and God alone.

We have no full record of how Abraham came to know God in the personal, and intimate way that he did, but we do have the first words which God spoke to Abraham as recorded in scripture: ‘Get thee from thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house unto a land that I will show thee.’ (Gen 12:1)

God called Abraham to come apart from his country: i.e. to get away from his nation, his people and his culture.

God called Abraham apart from his kindred, i.e. from his relatives, from the support of those he loved, to do away with nepotism.

God called him away from his father’s house, i.e. from his immediate family; even from his father who has raised, disciplined, and instructed him to that point of his life.

God called Abraham alone. If you are a child of Abraham in Truth, the motions of Abraham’s walk with God will be yours. Just as God called Abraham alone, Jesus declared: ‘If any man come to me and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.’ (Luke 14:26)

Jesus will call you alone. YOU. That is, Jesus will call you IF you are a descendant of Abraham; if not you are illigitimatte children. Like as Abraham was God’s personal friend the Christian faith is the same; it is no religion, but a calling alone unto God. As said the the prophet, look unto Abraham, the prototypical Christian, and to Sarah, the eternal, invisible universal Church of God.

God will call you apart from your nation, people (race) and culture. Abraham was Hebrew according to the flesh, but he is not our father as according to the flesh, for as Christ shewed that fleshly heritage makes one no True son of Abraham. Abraham was born again (John 3:3 & 7); he worshipped God in spirit, and in Truth (John 4:24). Faith was his righteousness (Rom 4:3), the confession of his faith was his salvation (Rom 10:10).

Abraham was not a carnal man, but a spiritual man: the prototype of all spiritual people; the father of them that live by faith – as Abraham did – and are spiritual.

Would you be a child of Abraham? Would uou be a friend of God? ‘Ye adulterers and adultresses, now ye not that friendship with the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.’ (James 4:4)

Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Abraham was no friend of the world, he abandoned his nation, his kindred, even his own father’s house to walk with God.

The greater our affiliations with man and his institutions, the greater our present enmity with he Lord. The world passeth away, and the lusts thereof, but Abraham sought a city with foundations whose sole builder and maker is God (Heb. 11:10): Heavenly Jerusalem (…and unto Sarah that bare you…)

Those who are of faith are of this city; some make pilgrimmage to earthly Jerusalem, but I live in the True Jerusalem.

Perhaps like you, I have often fallen into factions here on this earth, and succumbed to band-wagons; I have partisaned even by degrees… of which I repent. We may assume that church is without these things, but insofar as our church, or denomination is an earthly organization, it is of the world. Friendship with the world is enmity toward God.

We read of the Corinthians who factionalized over the teachings of Christ’s own Apostles, Paul declared them to be carnal (1 Cor. 1:12; 3:3 & 4). Why? They were not carnal because of their misuse of spiritual gifts, they were carnal because they were denominationalists. Was Peter the pope? Funny, paul said it didn’t matter the church of Rome is a faction that follows Peter. But, ‘…all things are yours.’

‘Therefore let no man glory in men [even spiritual leaders, like Peter, Paul and Apollos of whom Paul speaks]. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Appolos, or Cephas, or the world, or life or death, or things present, or things to come; And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.’ (1 Cor. 3:21-23)

There are factions aplenty in this world, and we need look no further than church institutions for them. There is the faction of Luther, and plenty of factions of Calvin, Wesley, and every concievable contemporary minister. Beyond that, there are government factions, and business factions of every possible sort. Every minister of God is yours. Disciple, but don’t be factioned. The evangelicals seem to have thrown out reverance, which those of the church of Rome remember. The neo-pentecostals seem also to have forgotten holiness; others have forgotten (or neglected) power, and miracles, etc., etc.

But if you would be a child of Abraham, get thee from thy nation, from thy kindred and from thy father’s house. While Abraham has a faction (today sometimes called the ‘Hebrew Roots’ movement), do not fall into it, it is not in the likeness of the faith of Abraham, who was called alone. Any who fails to enter in does so because of unbelief (Heb. 3:18 & 19), because Abraham is the father of those who share his faith (Gal 3:7). In our following the Lord, we will find that city with foundations whose builder and maker is God; it is of no earthly origin, or culture.

‘Get thee from thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house unto a land that I will show thee.‘ (Gen 12:1)

Polotics: where is your citizenship?

Friendship with the world is enmity with God. ‘Now we have recieved NOT the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God… Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man recieveth not he things of the Spirit of God… neither can he know them BECAUSE THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED.’ (1 Cor. 2:12a, 13, 14)

Every manner of sect will declare its ‘secret knowledge,’ its wisdom; in each group you must factionalize to obtain. From the Kabbalah to the traditions of the Catholic church; from the theologies of Calvin to the ‘wisdoms’ of political parties. Seminarians study theologies in the place of mastering in spirituality; churches are run like non-profit businesses, or – as some older ones – are based upon ancient political systems. Are not these evidences of carnality?

‘My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.’ (Prov. 1:10) All men are sinners; friendship with the world is enmity with God, and the fear of man bringeth a snare.

‘I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.’ (2 Cor. 11:3)

Must we faction to obtain? Even spiritual progress? No, for in the Gospel of Truth we shall be called alone unto Melchizidek the eternal, and personal Priest of New Jerusalem [Jesus Christ].

I spoke with a Catholic who told me the error of the protestants who say: ‘sola scriptura [scriptures alone].’ And with him, I consented: the scriptures alone are insufficient to obtain the fullness of life and godliness. Then he told me that this is why we must have ancient tradition for, said he, it was pased down from Christ; to this I objected for even in a group that Cnrist knce instituted had sprung up traditions of men which were held on par with God’s word. Yes, the Lord addressed this, declaring to the ancient Sanhedrin council (whom He had established (Numbers 11): ‘But in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.’ (Matt 15:9)

No, tradition – no matter how good does not fill up that which was lacking, nor does a ‘priesthood’ which the Lord never perscribed. what is lacking is not an earthly organization, the rules, tennants, theologies, doctrines or traditions of men, but the Seed of Abraham: Melchizidek who ever liveth to make intercession for us, the man Jesus Christ. Scriptures alone are not sufficient; the Sanhedrin had the scriptures, and it was not sufficient for them, for the scriptures were they which testified of Christ (John 5:39). Realizing THEIR lack of spirituality, they sought to fill up their spiritual substance through tradition, too. But they entered not in because of unbelief.

The spiritual man is the one who abides in Christ. Do you seek the True Church, the True heritage of Christianity? It is not found in the kingdoms, institutions, and organizations of man, but in the outpoured Holy Ghost: Abraham’s Seed; Christ in you.

‘But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. … But the anointing which ye have recieved of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.’ (1 John 2:20 & 26)

Abraham – your father if you have faith in Christ – honored Melchizidek, not as an earthly church organization, for he did not cling to Melchizidek the man, but the Spirit of Melchizidek (Christ) who is the True priest of New Jerusalem, and no man. Would a man have you call them ‘father,’ would a man have you call him ‘priest’?

‘But be not ye called ‘Rabbi:’ for one is your Master, evwn Christ; and ye all are brothers. And call no man father on earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.’ Said the Mesiah (Matt 23:8 & 9), but how quickly we nullify the commandment of God by our tradition, and teach for doctrines the commandments of men!

Would you be a friend of God, a child of Abraham? Honor Christ, who alone is all the Priest you need.

Would you be a friend of God, a child of Abraham? ‘Ye adulterers and adultresses, now ye not that friendship with the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.’ (James 4:4)

You have full access to all mysteries and knowledge, full access to all power and godliness by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Church is the synergy of you, and I coming together in the Spirit, and honoring Christ. Church is discipleship without carnal factioning, and denominationalism. Church is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

‘If ye be Christ’s, then ye are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.’ (Gal. 3:29)
