A Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Summer’s day in London

Hey Guys,

Welcome back to my blog. I went to some pretty cool places in London last week so I thought I’d blog about them. Yes it’s Summer here ‘apparently’ and I’ve been working pretty much everyday (and played Pokemon Go) since I’ve been back in London. I was craving an outing and I needed to make time for my girls so we went out and had fun. Continue reading to find out what we did.

I’m always amazed and excited by all the places and things London has to offer, there’s always something to do. I Met up with two of my girls and firstly we headed to Shoreditch, looked around the various shops and finally sat down in Boxpark, Boxpark is a shipping container pop up mall for independent, global, fashion and lifestyle stores and cafes. It’s nice in the day time as well as at night.

We decided to order Bubble Tea from Milk Tea & Pearl, a delicious Taiwanese Bubble Tea shop in Boxpark, I’m obsessed with Bubble Tea so I was just about to order my usual when I saw a sign advertising Bubble Tea cocktails, What da fuq, I hear you scream? Erm Yes alcohol and Bubble Tea in one cup.. I never expected this! Bubble Tea but with a twist, it was so strong, stronger than your average cocktail, I couldn’t even drink it all!! Boxpark is great as you can sit down, have a dance or chill, order a Shisha pipe and enjoy some food, there’s so much food, I never know what to pick. Boxpark is a great place to meet up with friends and hang out.

After we headed down to Brick Lane and walked around, my favorite vintage shops in Brick Lane include Blitz, Rokit and Beyond Retro, there’s also a really cool market too. As well as some really amazing graffiti and big walls full of murals, which is always fun to appreciate. There’s also so many Indian Restaurants to choose from, Brick Lane is famous for them! I love a good Indian meal. We were walking down the long road and we passed the Cereal Killer Cafe, the first cereal-themed cafe in the United Kingdom founded in 2014 by  Irish twins Gary and Alan Keery.

Honestly that day was one of the first times I’d ever seen it completely empty. Normally there’s people standing outside waiting to get in and I just walk right past but because it wasn’t full, I had a chance to actually step inside. It’s pretty cool and the interior is amazing, there’s so many different cereals to taste and vintage cereals (to appreciate not taste) such as Pokemon and Ninja Turtles and they even offer over 3o types of milk including Bubble Gum, Peanut Butter, Pumpkin Spice and Salted Caramel. I didn’t treat myself to any cereal but I would definitely go back. I didn’t get a chance to see downstairs but I was pretty impressed, it’s pretty cool.

Eventually we left Brick Lane and jumped on a few trains too Covent Garden, we headed to Maxwells Bar and Grill for some bomb ass Burgers and Ribs. My friend told me she’d heard they make amazing milkshakes actually called Freak Shakes, she showed me a picture and I went crazy, they looked so delicious. I have such a sweet tooth. The best thing about Maxwells is on Mondays, they have something called Monday Madness which means that all main courses are up to 50% off which makes it excellent value. I ordered the ribs, chicken and chips combo as well as a Salted Caramel Donut Freak Shake and it was so damn tasty.

I was so full. The Freakshakes are £7 and it’s honestly a meal in itself, super filling and super sweet. They also have other flavors such as Bubblegum and Oreo. We went down to Heaven Club after which probably wasn’t the best idea because we were all literally hobbling down the road, even so we danced the night away. Be sure to check out some of the places. Below I’ve included some websites, pictures of the food I enjoyed and  just some of the street art I saw, snapped and appreciated on the day.

Until next time,

N x
