The Milwaukee Brewers Lose To Minnesota Twins

The Milwaukee Brewers (1-1) fall to the Minnesota Twins (1-1), 2-0, in the second game of the interleague rivalry series to open up the season at American Family Field.

If you weren’t watching Corbin Burnes and Jose Berrios pitch the first six innings, you did yourself a great disservice.

It was a heck of a pitching effort by both guys.

Burnes allowed only one hit, a solo home run, and struck out 11 batters tonight in 6 1/3 innings pitched.

Berrios went six innings, struck out 12 batters and didn’t allow any hits.

The Brewers only had two base runners the entire night, and both came in the same inning! Lorenzo Cain drew a walk and Omar Narvaez hit a single, other than that, nothing. Well, I shouldn’t say nothing, the offense did strike out 17 times tonight.

Brewers pitching only allowed four hits and the two runs and striking out 13.

Up Next:

The Brewers and Twins will square off for the series finale tomorrow afternoon from American Family Field. Adrian Houser will get the nod for the Milwaukee Brewers, while Michael Pineda will get the nod for the Minnesota Twins. First pitch is set for 1:10 PM (Central Time).

The major cable providers are providing at least the first week (that I’m aware of) free of the MLB Extra Innings. So you’ll be able to watch it on tv through one of the MLB Extra Innings stations.
