You’re Magnificent and We Need Your Help

I don’t know how many people know this. When You’re Amazing first got started I had no idea what the book was about. I thought it was a little childrens’ book. Then even when I finished it, I still wasn’t sure what the book was about. I thought it was about accepting other people. When my lady and I had our preliminary readers read it, our preliminary readers informed us what the book was about. They informed us that it was a book about accepting yourself.

This book started literally with a big spider and a little spider. I saw a big spider in a bright room and a little spider in a dark room and said, “Why is there a big spider in a bright room and a little spider in a dark room?”. After answering that question, I then asked myself “Which spider is better or another way to say it, which spider has the advantage?” After answering that question, something inside of me told me to write this book that turned out to be a book about accepting yourself.

Well, although I wrote this book, this project is far bigger than any one person. It has taken on a life of its own. We have a teacher who didn’t like the way her students were treating one another, so she broke out the book and started teaching it (her students are 8 years old).  After teaching from You’re Amazing and having a discussion with the class, she told them they had to stop and go onto something else for the day. They audibly moaned, because they didn’t want to stop. She has now taught almost the complete book to her class.

We have a librarian that has started doing the same with a class that she is teaching. St. Mary of The Snow in Saugerties, NY contacted us after Linda (my wife) left one message on an answering machine and asked us to come teach the content of the book. We have had ARC contact us after they received a book and a media kit that someone took upon themselves to take to them. This person said, “Hey this is a great book. Can I take it to ARC?” Within a week or so ARC contacted us. We recently had a class at Barnes and Noble with approximately 15 people. Eight of them already had the book and after the class was over, the people that had the book sat around talking to one another and me about how they are using the book to teach loved ones and people they care about how incredible each and every one of us is.

It’s pretty obvious to me that although I wrote the book, the only thing I actually did was to articulate what people already believed. That is that people are good. They just didn’t have a way of saying it or proving it or showing it. They are now taking it upon themselves to use the book as a tool to reach people they have been unable to reach until now. It’s really important that we get You’re Amazing out in front of as many people as we possibly can. The best way we can do that is to have everybody that has read the book give us a review either on Amazon or just email it to us at knowledgeisfreedompublishing@gmail.com and we can put it on the website. We need to build a small army to be able to show everyone that this book is worthwhile and then they’ll give it a chance. This is a message we need to all join hands and carry together. Please give us a review and tell everyone you know that You’re Amazing is a tool they can use to prove to their loved ones and friends that they are magnificent.
