Acton Carnival

On the 9th of July, Acton Carnival happened. And of course WE happened too.

Acton Carnival is one of the summer festivals that takes place in London, UK. It is an amazing event celebrating the community and culture of everyone with live music, good food and beautiful stands.

My church actively took part in this carnival having our own stand in Park and evangelising throughout the day with our daily devotional Rhapsody of Realities (ROR).

We had a glorious time giving out ROR and preaching the gospel to the many people that attended the carnival. I personally really enjoyed this opportunity because there were a lot of young people who came out on this beautiful day, who I and my teens were able to reach out to and talk to about God and Jesus Christ.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

– Mark 16:15

We have a job to do, and no one said we couldn’t have fun while doing it!

The atmosphere of love and laughter and life was very present and strong. But so was the presence of the Holy Spirit who was our guide and also doing His job as we did ours, planting the seed, the gospel into the people of the community and all those who came to celebrate with us.

“And let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.”

– Hebrews 10:24

As children of God, we need to take advantage of opportunities like this, to reach the masses, bring them into God’s loving arms, help each other grow in the Word and go back out there to reach more.

From the prayers leading up to the carnival to partaking on the day itself, it was a lovely experience and I cannot wait for the next one.
