During the April 30 and May 1 holidays, a hotel in Hoi An, specialising in hosting international tourists, decorated all its balconies with flags to introduce visitors to Vietnam’s significant holidays.
This accommodation is located on Dao Duy Tu street, Hoi An city. Images of building blocks decorated with bright red national flags have been shared by the online community for many days and have created impressive images.
The general manager of the hotel shared that this year, they aimed to leave a lasting impression on tourists during the major anniversary celebration. “Our hotel primarily hosts international guests. This holiday, 80% of our 54 rooms were booked. Given the high number of foreign guests, we wanted to help them understand the significance of April 30 and share in the collective joy of the Vietnamese people. Therefore, the hotel decided to purchase large flags to hang on the balconies of all rooms. In total, there are 80 flags decorating the residence,” said the general manager.
The general manager noted that after the flags were displayed across the accommodation blocks, many people came to take photos and share them on their personal Facebook pages. This display sparked curiosity among many guests, prompting inquiries to which the staff provided thorough explanations. Both guests and staff expressed their happiness about this initiative.
Hoi An, a city popular with international tourists, often sees accommodations organising special programs on significant dates like April 30 and September 2, to educate guests about Vietnamese history. However, the extensive and colourful display of flags and decorations across the accommodation area is quite a rare sight, making it a unique and memorable experience for visitors.
