Ok, right, New Year

I suppose it should be a happy time as its New Year and I am grateful for the things we have, I think we are one of the few people in the UK to still not know anyone who has had Covid, or if we do they haven’t mentioned it.

We have a roof over our head, food in the fridge and a good family and friends network round us.

But as New Year hit, the UK left the EU, which in my eyes is the wrong decision, we have an idiotic government leading us, our Covid cases are going up and I am really hoping its a backlog from Christmas, rather than what it looks like.

I am clinging onto the hope that things can only get better, maybe this will be the year I will finish sorting the lego and start cross stitching again. Hopefully this will be the year I will be able to leave the house without a panic attack and be able to get a job.

Or maybe I should just go really simple and hope this year Monkey can do a whole year of school. Or this year I can hug my mum and my Dad can take me out for lunch. Yeah, I think that is what I am going to go with and then build it up to taking over the world by the end of the year.

I hope where ever you are, you had a happy and safe New Year and you continue to stay safe and happy.

  4. Happy New Year Trina! Last year’s goal was to learn to make my bed. This year. I hope to see my mom again. And hug her. I hope that I will finally give myself that push I need to write my book. I am the only one standing in my way on that one. And finally I hope to/my goal is to add exercise to my daily routine. Have a great day. And I like Being Hopeful…..it is like my goals. And it makes you feel good when you accomplish them but do not beat yourself up if it does not go according to plan. That is a rather freeing concept. Well done. Hugs from the Crazy Canadian in Manitoba. 🙂
