The following announcements where made at VMworld US 2018 this week.

- VMware vSphere Platinum Edition – includes AppDefense (and VMConAWS credits for 5+ CPU purchases).
- VMware vSphere 6.7 Update 1 released (including vSAN 6.7 Update 1).
- VMware vRealize Automation 7.5 released.
- VMware vRealize Operations 7.0 released.
- VMware vRealize Log Insight 4.7 released.
- VMware vRealize Network Insight 3.9 released.
- VMware NSX-T Data Center 2.3 released.
- VMware Cloud Foundation 3.0 released.
- VMware Pulse IoT Center 2.0 released.
- Amazon RDS will be available to run on vSphere.
- VMware Cloud on AWS is available in Sydney, Australia. AWS EBS integration is also supported.
- VMware Cloud Assembly – a new VMC offering that provides multi-cloud provisioning services.
- VMware Cloud Secure State – multi-cloud governance and compliance service.
- VMware Cloud Wavefront enhancements – can monitor 100K containers and can monitor serverless applications.
- Tech Preview: vSphere ESXi will be supported on 64-bit ARM processors – this will be necessary for IoT/Edge use-cases.
- Tech Preview: Project Dimension is the VMware SDDC offered as a SaaS service. Great fit for IoT/Edge use-cases.
- Tech Preview: Project Magna – the AI based “self-driving” data center.
- Tech Preview: Project Concord – VMware’s blockchain offering.
- Dell Factory Services partnership – Workspace ONE is preinstalled for customers at the factory.
- Workspace ONE predictive patching.
- Tech Preview: Workspace ONE Trust Network – API framework that allows 3rd party solutions to integrate into Workspace ONE.
- Intent to acquire CloudHealth Technologies – which will be folded into their VMC portfolio.
- VMware Skyline is GA.
