winter whites

I’m not sure where the saying that you can’t wear white after labour day came from, but I’m not buying it. I think white looks crisp and fresh in all seasons, and these pants with a sweater, coat and booties are totally fall appropriate. As you all know I am the biggest fan of neutrals, and the white ripped denim make this look a little bolder than with grey or black skinnies. The only thing I dislike about white pants is how careful I have to be while wearing them!

To keep white from looking out of season this time of year, it’s best to stick with pieces (like jeans) which are worn year round, or true winter staples like sweaters and coats. If you’re feeling particularly fashion forward and coordinated, all white looks have also been showing up for the holidays.

You may have noticed I am obsessed with this coat. Other than my trip to Mexico, I haven’t taken it off since I bought it a few weeks ago. It goes with everything and I simply adore how long it is. Vancouver has actually been pretty cold the past few days so I’ve had to layer with it a bit more, but nothing a good cozy sweater can’t fix.
