Finished Reading: Devotions from the Kitchen Table

We all have that one person in our lives, maybe it’s our mom, grandma, or even a devoted friend that you can always count on being in the kitchen, who thrives in sharing her gifts of cooking and hosting with her family and friends. When we lived in Colorado I was always baking bread, there was always a sourdough starter in the fridge and we ate fresh bread each day.

Even though our eating habits have changed and there are times, I don’t want to be in the kitchen. My kitchen is a bit of a haven of sorts, it’s were real life happens and your fed physically and spiritually.

In Devotions from the Kitchen Table, there are 90 bible inspired devotions for the reader to enjoy all inspired by your kitchen, being in the kitchen and from the act of cooking. The best part about this devotional is it isn’t dated so you can ready it and pick it up at any time. Perhaps you could use it as an opportunity to reflect with your family at the kitchen table or perhaps enjoy a quiet morning or evening read at your table inspired by God’s word.

I was a little bummed when there weren’t any recipes, it seemed like a great place for a recipe of tow but alas. This book is full of full color images and gorgeous text. But no room for writing in so I recommend a journal to put down your thoughts or prayers while reading this one.

I received this book for free in return for an honest review. Grab a copy for yourself or the cooking fool in your life, HERE
