Senator Mark Koran gives an update on the legislature. He mentioned $600 million additional funds available through revenue collection. He talks about broadband as a priority. He is one of the authors of the Broadband grant program appropriation bill (SF 2787)  introduced in the MN Senate last week. He’s looking for a statewide plan for broadband that goes beyond DSL and focuses on gigabit services. It’s critical for the businesses, school kids and high volume home shoppers and potential telemedicine patients. (Click picture to access video.)
