5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (July 20, 2015)

Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Monday, July 20, 2015.

#1) The Shawsheen Tech School Committee may name Charlie Lyons’s successor at their 5pm meeting at the Tech. According to the Lowell Sun, the Committee will be interviewing the three superintendent finalists for approximately 45 minutes each beginning at 6pm.  If the Committee can’t reach a consensus on Monday night, they’ll meet again on Wednesday at 6pm to discuss further and vote again.  Wilmington Apple hopes to be there!

#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting author Roland Merullo, whose latest book is “Dinner with Buddha.” Learn more HERE.

#3) Tremezzo Ristorante (2 Lowell Street) is hosting a fundraiser this Monday, July 20, 5pm-7pm, where 10% of all food sales will be donated to ovarian cancer support. Cancer survivor Jackie Sugrue will be celebrated while her father – Dave – will serve as the evening’s celebrity guest bartender.

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is running its usual Monday activities — Blood Pressure Clinic at 9:30am; Exercise Sessions at 9:45am and 11am; and Knitting/Crocheting at 11am.  The Center is also hosting a special Paint Night with Steve Greco at 5pm. All levels are welcome and no experience necessary. Tickets are $5. Call the Center at 978-657-7595 to inquire about availability. Learn more HERE.

#5) Town Beach at Silver Lake is open today — and everyday until Sunday, August 17 — from 10am to 8pm. Learn more HERE.
