I was in my early teens when Grunge took over the music industry. Local bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam (yeah, they’re from my neck of the woods) lit up the airwaves and inspired countless bands to follow. Even so, the genre of grunge just didn’t have the power to suck me in to the point of spending all my allowance on flannels the way it did for everyone else. Then, there was Bush. When Gavin Rossdale started filling my eardrums with his sexy, gritty voice, teaching me how to breathe properly, only to take my breath away with every other song, I declared him my future ex-husband. Of course, he’s still my first future ex-husband of choice, but more have been added to the list, so I’m over it…a little. Maybe.
Anyway, I know I’ve already used this song in a previous post for a different music event, but hopefully it’s been long enough that no one quite remembers. And I love SOOOOOOOOOOO many different Bush songs, I should be able to pick one I’ve never posted about before. Honestly, I think I have Gavin Rossdale songs most people have never even heard of, so why do I keep choosing this song over every other track in my extensive collection???
That damn guitar. It just gets me every freaking time…
