From Orchid Observers comes this lovely close-up of a wasp (probably a Prionyx, by the red abdomen) pollinating an orchid.

“This is an incredible photograph! Pollination in action,” writes Orchid Observers researcher Mike Waller, and fellow researcher Lucy Robinson adds that “we know very little about which species visit and pollinate orchids, so every photo of this sort is valuable to increasing our understanding.”
