Thoughts Upon a Tassimo

chai tea latte

O steaming hiss, O spiced delight

Which percolates this frigid night,

You melt the coldest, hardest heart

By brewing scalding works of art.

You know it’s cold when your own government puts out public service announcements warning you to stay indoors because of a dangerous wind-chill factor. Long live the Tassimo!

Yep – that cold here too. School has been cancelled for tomorrow. And – advisories have been scrolling on the tv all weekend.

Love the comfort of a hot drink in a snowstorm!

Guess it proves the gov’t cares about some things–that’s an encouragement.

Brrrrrr….thank goodness for hot drinks and cosy homes.

You should really save poetry like this for the coldest night. There’s not even a 4 in the temperature yet!

  7. Wonderful poem in few words, Melody. I can’t relate to the cold as our weather has been in the high 60’s and sunny. But we’re in dire need of rain or we’ll be heading into a drought. However, your poem reminds me of a hot pumpkin spice latte, which I indulged in a “few times” over the holiday season. 🙂 Take care and stay warm.

Pumpkin spice latte sounds rather heavenly to me! I so hope you get some rain – drought is a scary and ugly thing. We are supposed to warm up dramatically by the weekend, so all is well! 🙂
