From time to time, I visit Wisley RHS garden in Surrey with a friend. So I shall show the garden in a few different seasons
Firstly, let’s showcase the autumn:
next, we’ll look at late winter, and all the seed heads
And lastly, recent images from Spring
linked to Lens artists at Amy’s here
I only went once, in the late 1970s I think. I remember it was impressive, and my ex-wife took a lot of photos. I didn’t have a camera back then. 🙂
You shocase it well, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Many thanks, Pete. I never rated it much in the 90s, but I love it now. Must be an age thing….. 😊
Gorgeous flowers photos late Autumn and now Spring 👌🙏🌷
Thanks, yes, my two favourite seasons!
Lovely 🙏💐
Well you know that this is a favourite garden of mine. I used to visit it regularly when I lived in Haslemere. Though I think it has become far too popular nowadays! I liked it when it was quiet. They do have some lovely planting there and the glasshouse is wonderful in bad weather, or for the butterflies or other events they hold. A good time to visit now when the wisteria should be flowering.
The wisteria is flowering, but the main building is decked in scaffolding, so none of the usual vistas
Such beautiful galleries. I like spring the most in person but in your photos I even prefer autumn and winter. So well put together.
Many thanks, Manja! I feel I’ve done a good job, then
A great showcase of one of your favourite places I think.
A recent favourite place….I didn’t reckon much to it a decade or so ago….
As you say, older and wiser now.
And I wouLd say the place has undergone significant changes
Did I spot you said she is wiser now?!!!
Oi, cheeky
😉
Grrrrr
There’s always hope …
Two of my past managers said that I was wise….I have no reason to disbelieve them…..
hee hee 😀
😊😊😊
What a treat to see the Wisley RHS garden in different season. Beautiful in winter, fall, and especially spring. Thank you for taking us there, Sue. 🙂
Pleased you enjoyed this post, Amy
WOWZA Sue. These garden photos are so pretty. I love the seed category. Okay I kind of adore all your photos 😀
Many thanks, Cee! Really pleased you enjoyed these
You have just reminded me that Wisley is still on my to visit list…. its been on the list for a long time. Maybe one day! Great portfolio 😃
Thanks, David! It’s well worth a visit
It does look a lovely place, Sue, and pretty accessible from the looks? Especially love the bluebells with the shed in the background 🙂 🙂
Thanks Jo! Yes, it’s nicely accessible. 😊😊
Oh Sue, these are exquisitely beautiful! Thank you for taking me to a garde I would LOVE to visit in real life!
Ah, A C,so glad you like these….and I would love to take you there when you are able to visit England again!
Yay! Had my first vaccine last week!
Yippee!
♥
What a beautiful place! I especially like the two bottom photos in the first set and the seeds with the foggy look in the second set.
Thanks, Janet…the foggy look is because I photographed them in dull weather against a backdrop of water
I’m with Janet, the image of the seeds in the fog is really stunning although all of your images are beautiful. They’d make a wonderful promotional brochure for the Gardens!
Many thanks, Tina!
Looks great, Sue. I’ve never been, but now I’ve had a good virtual tour.
Great bluebells!
I was pleased to see the bluebells
then you need to come and visit!!
Sure does!
So glad the weather was okay for you to explore the bluebell woods 😀
Yes, it started a bit cloudy and indifferent, but then we got sun and blue sky,
Looks so lovely in all the seasons, Sue. 😍
Yes, it does, Sylvia 😊😊

It most certainly is, Ritva
