As we continue the celebration of International Women Day (#IWD2021) throughout this week, I believe it is so important for us to remember to #choosetochallenge the norms to build great businesses for our families (i.e our grandmother, our mothers, our girls); as well as contribute to the economy and build our communities in our neck of the woods. Let us build back a better Canada. Let us build back our communities during pandemic times and give hope for the future. I believe it is important to explore the lens of of key trusted advisors, male and female, who support entrepreneurs at every stage of their business cycle. I love taking a deep dive into their career journeys and the work they are doing to support entrepreneurs across the Canada.
Last year, I was thrilled to interview a dynamic leader and expert, Noel Courage, Patent Attorney at Bereskin & Parr LLP, intellectual property (“IP”) lawyers. In this episode, we discussed the various pivots which occurred during the early days of the pandemic last year for his organization and the strategies team members implemented to maintained a tight knit connection. We then took a deep dive into his early career pivots, discussing how having encountered really good mentors helped to propel him on the right career path. In addition, we talked very briefly about the importance of IP protection for business success and why it is important to make positive impact in the lives of your clients during current times.
