Following the recent announcement by the White House to get more people vaccinated by July 4th, SheaMoisture is excited to announce the details of the project and will launch a $1 million USD fund to engage barbershops and salons as community health advocates and vaccination sites.
Black-owned salons and barber shops will be able to apply for individual $1,000 grants plus tools and training around community education and COVID-19 vaccines. Business owners can also apply to have their salons and barbershops used as vaccine sites, as part of the administration’s micro-targeting efforts to increase the vaccination rate.
The fund follows the brand’s $1MM fund last year that gave direct assistance to Black businesses and entrepreneurs who were otherwise unsupported at the onset of the pandemic.
