Using the other half of this Sugar free chocolate banana bread batter I made some beautiful small tarts with pears from our garden. We had a lot of pears this year so most of them are falling from the tree.
I thought of this dessert for a long time and now I did it. Hope you like it.
Ingredients:
- ½ banana bread batter
- 4 small pears
- 4 tablespoons black currant jam
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius. Prepare the forms for the tarts. Cut the pears like a Hasselback potato.
Fill half the form with batter and then put a pear in the middle. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven. With a knife put some black currant jam between on the pear.
You can serve it simple or with ice cream. Enjoy!
Oh my goodness gracious. I am going to have to give this a try! Well done you!

Looks delicious. I guess the ice cream recommendation changes the description of this sugar free delight? 🙂 No complaints on this end…it just made me laugh.
There is sugar free ice cream. I have a recipe on my blog
I should have known better. 😀 I’ll look it up because I’m curious if you use xylitol or stevia as the sweetener.
No problem.
I noticed you didn’t use ANY sweetener. You used REAL fruit. Great choice!!
