Today’s early EPL game is Spurs versus WHU. First half is all I get today, as a full Saturday docket awaits at the parish, and I’ve had the last two days off with the recovering patient at home.
It’s got to be cringe-worthy being a Spurs fan at times. They have had some horrendous results this season. As for the tough challenge in the 25th minute resulting in a red card, which eventually led to the first goal–that’s part of the game, I suppose. Then you have those two dudes in the wall letting in a goal from Stewart Downing just before half. That was more of an own goal than the first one, which was an honest attempt to get a head on a hard shot.
I did notice that in promoting the Kentucky Derby, NBC host Rebecca Lowe is spot-on with the American pronunciation of “derby.” When she refers to the football version, not the same, but quite cute.
Anyway, it’s a typical May Saturday liturgist’s schedule:
- 8:30 meet people to start cleaning the music room
- 9:00 First Communion rehearsal
- 11:00 one of our peer ministers has her senior recital on campus
- the usual prayer editing, minister listing, and make some progress on the summer schedule.

Over in the Championship, Birmingham were down 2 in the 78th minute needing at least a tie and a favorable result elsewhere to climb out of the drop zone but managed a stoppage time equalizer to stay up.
