Actually, I processed this way to make it look the way it often does here in the desert: Harsh light, washed out colors. I tried it in black and white, and it actually didn’t look as stark as it does now. I usually try to bump the saturation in my desert photography, but I’m starting to go in the other direction, depending on my subject and the story I’m trying to tell.
Thanks. I’m happy with how it came out. Upping the saturation has its place (and I see a lot of desert photographers that do it effectively. So does black and white, but in this case neither worked, so I pulled back.
I think this would look good converted to mono because of the harsh light
