In Part One – located HERE – we introduce the multipart series of the ROAD to 2020. In Part Two – located HERE – we discuss Elizabeth Warren’s credentials in regards to the financial aspects of governing. In Part Three – located HERE – we discussed the underlying factors which drive presidential candidates to stay away from tackling big issues or proposing drastic changes which might require major overhaul of the current system. In Part Four – located HERE – we took a look back at how Democrats used to tackle big and unpopular issues such as Social Security benefits, Medicare benefits, etc. and compared their approaches then with their strategy today. In this document, we take a look (bulleted point No 4 below) at why we believe the constituents have not cared an iota for a very longtime for solutions despite their claim to the contrary. This multipart series is meant to provide context and the rationale for change.

The 4^th debate puts a lot in perspective for the country (5th debate is slated for Wednesday Nov 20, 2019 in Atlanta, GA)

1. Elizabeth Warren has bold solutions but she is hesitant to share the details of those solutions. (Update: after publishing Part One, Elizabeth Warren campaign released her plan for Medicare for All)
2. Most candidates for president do not want to tackle big issues; they fear that to propose bold solutions can be costly
3. Most Democrat candidates continue to “dance around” issues instead of proposing bold solutions
4. The constituents – of both major political parties – do no really care much about solutions for anything (they just want the candidate they prefer to simply say what they want to hear)

We discuss each one of those factors which have made it near impossible to take the country to higher ground instead of entrusting it to someone to run it to the ground.
