There are lots of zombies and that means lots of customers…Except one of them doesn’t want the zombies dead, he wants them alive and ready for experimentation. Mad scientists make for difficult clients and this time, Sarah and David might have bitten off more than they can chew.
This is the sequel to the book MARRIED WITH ZOMBIES. Same awesome comedy, same awesome zombie apocalypse, same heroes, different place and different issues.
Really, this book is rather predictable. I figured out what was going well in the middle of the book and not closer to then end like our wonderful heroine, Sarah. Granted, that doesn’t make the book any less enjoyable as the first. After all, that’s the awesome kitchy thing about zombie books and movies, they tend to say the same thing over and over again.
In case you’re wondering why, I think it has to do with sending the good ol’ what makes you human message. There are different types of humans and this book just relates to something that is seen in a lot of movies.
However, the characters is the center of what I love. The first book ended with Sarah and David’s marriage finding a common ground and working towards it. This one shakes up their little spot of marital heaven and gives them a new dash of reality in their feelings for each other.
I have to say, that’s what I like about this book series. That and they are short. I really think Jesse Petersen focused on the right thing in these books: the survivors. In all, I’d give it a solid 3 out of 5. It isn’t amazing, but it does a good job with what it is. Can’t wait for the third!
