Second vintage for the Whippet’s new coat (I’m a big fan of the subtle type face, though I didn’t dislike what it used to look like).
Longview, Whippet, Sauvignon Blanc, Adelaide Hills, 2021
Quite a pale lemon hue. Subtle and delicate aromas. Feijoa and passionfruit, unwrapped toffee, young clover, limey citrus, nettle and top soil earthiness. Harmonious and balanced through the mid palate, emphasising the citrus and savoury, earthy parts of the SB spectrum. Fine length carries the zesty acidity for some time. A step up from the 2020.
