Bird Weekly Photo Challenge #52: Birds With Long Tail Feathers
Thanks for filling in for Lisa. Yes a daunting task but you have done quite well. Just love your birds. The Caspian Tern and Glossy Starling are my favourites. Here’s a few from my part of Australia.
Pheasant Coucal
Spangled Drongo
King Parrot
Willie Wagtail
Grey Fantail
Grey-crowned Babbler
Restless Flycatcher
Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo
Rainbow Bee Eaters
So different from our birds here in Sussex, UK – it’s lovely to see such wonderful images of your feathered friends!

How wonderful – I’d never heard of Rainbow Bee Eaters 😀 Your Spangled Drongo is a smart looking bird and I love the sheen on the Flycatcher’s head. But those Bee Eaters steal the show for sure!!

I always love when you capture the essence of expression with your animals and birds. The Drongo looks accusatory. Most likely just want you to leave him alone. The king parrot looks a bit flirty. And the Rainbow Bee Eaters seem to be on alert. Never heard of those before. They are cute. Always a pleasure. Have. good rest of your day. Brian. Donna

The drongo looks much like our grackle but the rest aren’t in our part of the world, so I liked seeing all of them. The bee eaters have such great colors.

Your Grackle sounds a bit like our Whipbirds when they are foraging in the undergrowth. Glad you enjoyed my birds janet 😀 😀

As always, your selection of birds is quite wonderful. I love the bee eaters too, though I’m not sure I should if they eat bees.

Thanks Graham. A tiny bird so wouldn’t eat that many to fill up

You got a couple of bandits in this collection, the bee eaters, the fly catcher, the babbler, and the fantail are all wearing black masks!

Incredible gallery Brian! As with every bird weekly, you give me hard choices to make for the round up. LOL! I’ve missed you my friend! 🙂

The spangled drongo clearly does island hopping. We have them all the way up here in India.
